Sean came out to talk to us and arranged a test drive, we were impressed with his knowledge of the vehicle. Needless to say, we traded in our Pontiac and now drive a 2015 Forester Subaru. More

It was a great experience with the dealership in Richmond Hill. We felt accommodated during the short wait, and arranged a test drive quickly upon our request. The sales rep.,Alex Kam was so efficient and patient, most importantly, knowledgeable about the features of all the models of Subaru and related key information with a friendly atmosphere. Not slightest pressure to buy but simply knowing more about the car we drove. Then we went back about one month later without making prior appointment. I felt bad when seeing Alex was so busy with his customers. Again, he made time for us and had a detailed walk through with us again on what we like to know as a new customer . The whole sales experience is great ! I like to say thank you to the whole team including the lease managers , Sam and Ariela. My special compliment to Alex who made this customer experience nicest possible. More

Salesman that listens Finally a salesman that listens, Robert made our purchase experience enjoyable. Knowledgeable, friendly, no pressure, Robert was flexible to our needs Finally a salesman that listens, Robert made our purchase experience enjoyable. Knowledgeable, friendly, no pressure, Robert was flexible to our needs and well prepared for our visit. I have called Robert the day before to arrange a meeting. When we arrived, the car we were interested in was ready and we took a test drive. We asked Robert to come with us for the test drive so he can answer questions about the car - he did so, and what impressed me was that he was quiet the whole time, only answering our questions, no sales talk or pressure of any kind. When I compared the Outback 2.5i with my Acura, he suggested trying the Outback 3.6 for comparison. We've test drove the 3.6 and that was the car. Everything went smooth and easy from there - the price was fair and was explained to us clearly. The car and all papers were ready 2 days later. We were very happy with the whole process and feel very comfortable to return to this dealer for car service. We would highly recommend Robert to anyone interested in Subaru. We indicated we were interested in a Subaru Outback and a Subaru Forester. Sean immediately set up a test drive. We drove the Outback first, then the Forester. Sean was knowledgeable on both vehicles even though he had only been in sales for six months. At the end of the test drive we indicated we would be interested in discussing the Outback. Rather than doing the traditional song and dance we asked to cut to the chase to determine what the best deal would be on financing. Sean indicated that Subaru Canada had a special on with.9% Financing for 60 months plus a $1000.00 cash back that brought the financing to 0%. During the process Sean did not try to "Up Sell" to a higher vehicle package, or a different Model Subaru. He explained the difference between them and let us decide which we preferred. We made an offer subject to our Nissan X-Trail being evaluated by the used car manager, and their wholesaler. We returned at 3:45 pm with the trade in. The dealer arranged for the wholesaler to be present when we brought the X-Trail back. It was evaluated, we were given a fair price for it and the deal for a new Subaru Outback was completed. We were then shown into the Business Managers office for the "UP SELL". The model and color we wanted was not in their stock, he did not try to push a different color on us. After a bit of negotiations, no high pressure we purchased the rust proofing, paint sealer and leather treatment package at a price I was willing to pay. Sam set up a dealer trade and the car with the features and color we wanted arrived on the following Wed. It was rust proofed and delivered on Saturday. Sam contacted us by email to confirm delivery documents such as insurance and void check. Sam telephoned to follow up a second and third time indicate the car would be ready for pick up Saturday. . During the pre-delivery inspection, Sean explained the functions of the car very well, set up two cell phones for in car blue tooth functionality, introduced us to the Service Manage,r thank us for the business and we were out the door driving our beautiful new Subaru Outback LTD. I would recommend Sean Perl, Sam Chegini and New Roads Richmond Hill Subaru to any one! Great Job Sean and Sam. Terry and Julie. More

After you sign that paper, you're a nobody. I bought a car from Richmond Hill Subaru about 6 months ago. I wanted to post a positive review but things went downhill after the keys were handed o I bought a car from Richmond Hill Subaru about 6 months ago. I wanted to post a positive review but things went downhill after the keys were handed over. I decided to choose Richmond Hill because of the "positive" “reviews” from “people” on dealer rating and also the overall purchase price. Most of the process was done via email. Communication before the initial sale was good. Replies were instant and customer service was decent. I was stuck between getting a white or silver version of my vehicle and from the emails, my salesman (Alex Kam) said that he should be able to locate a white one if I prefer the white one over the silver. When I went to sign my papers at the dealership, everything started off well. Alex Kam was informative and had fairly decent customer service HOWEVER, after asking if he could locate a white one at another dealership, he tried to dodge the question and suggested that there weren't any left in Toronto. That was a lie because I spoke to two different subaru dealerships that had the same trim and color but they both weren't willing to match the price that Richmond hill subaru was offering. I ended up getting a silver, which was my second choice. Still happy with my color choice but didn't like the fact that he lied and made no effort to locate the initial color I wanted. When I went to sign my papers, I dealt with Sam Chegini. Nice guy HOWEVER, the whole financial process was very rushed. Papers were basically thrown at me without explanation. My biggest regret was only reading the overall price of the vehicle. Sam and Alex did not explain to me the ridiculous $300 "security package" add on which included wheel locks, and window etching. Both packages were completely useless and overpriced as insurance does not consider either of these as a security feature. After explaining that I wasn’t happy about it and wanting to get the $300 back, they were aggressive and tried to reason with me saying that it’s an “all-in” price and all dealers charge that. I had a friend who went to Willowdale Subaru and got his $300 back even after signing papers. It would have been nice if one of two salesmen could have told me about this package instead of hiding it. Prior to picking up my vehicle, I noticed on Instagram that a mechanic at Richmond Hill Subaru had been posting up images of cars he just detailed at the dealership. He hashtagged some of them under (#RichmondhillSubaru). A day before picking up my car, I found an image of my car under the same user that was using the #RichmondhillSubaru hashtag. Apparently, he “opened her up”(Flooring the car) while he was preparing it for delivery. You can find other vehicles if you search #richmondhillsubaru on Instagram. One video showing him floor one of the vehicles. I told Alex and Sam about this. I could see their faces going red but immediately denied it and said he doesn’t work at the dealership anymore. That was a lie because to this date, you can see images of other Subaru cars around that same dealership. I also saw the mechanic myself while picking up my car. After arriving home from the dealership, I noticed that one of my tire valve caps were missing. I found this ridiculous after paying so much for a new car. I wasn’t willing to drive an hour back to the dealership to get a tire valve cap. I called Alex to ask for a replacement in which he processed one. It was delivered in record time, over a month later. HOWEVER, the mail was tampered with so, the tire valve cap they sent me was missing. I emailed Alex Kam back asking if he could send another one. I was basically ignored. No replies what’s so ever even though prior to signing papers, he was replying to emails almost instantly. I know a tire valve cap is inexpensive but when you purchase a new car, it should be flawless and should not be missing any parts. After 6 months, I have yet to receive a reply or my tire valve cap. I had to email Subaru Canada HQ in which they said they contacted Richmond Hill Subaru to send me another replacement. It has been over 5 months and I still haven’t received anything. I emailed Alex Kam recently to ask him about the 10,000km/6 months maintenance that he said I MUST get at Subaru or else I would void my warranty. I have yet to receive an email back from him. I found out from Subaru HQ itself that you do not need to service it at a Subaru dealership and your warranty won’t be void if you don’t. Unfortunately, another lie. I have dealt with many dealers before. From Toyota, Chrysler to Honda and have never experienced such a lack of communication, and dishonesty. I gave a 1/5 star only because I got a little flash light with my purchase. The only useful thing I got out of this experience. Even though Richmond Hill Subaru offers a slightly better price than some Subaru dealerships, I will not be dealing with them anymore. I would rather pay an extra premium for a more honest dealership that doesn't ignore its customers and believes in customer satisfaction/retention. More
