Steven We are disappointed that you believe your experience buying a used vehicle at Richmond Hill Hyundai was not acceptable. I spoke with Brek and he tells me you negotiated a good deal and you were happy leaving the dealership. I also checked on the second key problem. When we purchased the vehicle it only came with one key. My Used Vehicle Manager did call the person we purchased the vehicle from and they do not have a second key. Brek tells me that a second key was never promised as part of the deal. I am being told that a second key is not $250 but more like $700 to $800. We do try to ensure every customer is happy when leaving the dealership for sales or service. We wish we could do something for you however the price you negotiated did not include a second key. If you would like to discuss further, I am available. Dave Dodds General Manager Richmond Hill Hyundai

Hello, that's correct a second key was not negotiated as part of the agreement, but I enquired many many times with the sales to follow-up whether it was available, both verbally and by email 4 days prior to picking up the car. There was no response at all, and it seemed as if the delay was on purpose to stall my enquiries. The cost of a replacement key from BMW is $415 for keyless entry, programming is 1hr labour ($150) to enable comfort access feature for a total of $565 +tax, not 700/ 800 as you have stated. Your dealership probably has the relationship and can negotiate to buy at dealer cost? Whereas I pay full value. If the dealer is still willing to cover that cost, I will remove the negative feedback and post a positive follow up on dealer rate and the 3 other sites that I have posted on. Please consider, if it helps I did buy the extended warranty at almost $4000 cost at the time of purchase. Thank you, I look forward to a response.

I know we both wish this had been taken care of before the delivery. Not a good situation discussing it after the deal is done. We truly want happy customers. If you are willing to pay $300 of the $565 plus tax or $638.45 (taking your word on the price), we would be willing to pay the difference to get you a key. If this is acceptable, please remove your negative comments on the sites, as per your message. We will order the key and you can pay the $300 when you come here to pick it up. Hope this meets with your approval. Dave Dodds General Manager Richmond Hill Hyundai

Hello, Unfortunately still requiring to pay $300 doesn't turn my experience into a satisfied customer. If i didn't need to pay, the current review would definately warrant a 100% positive rating. Since i am still required to pay some costs, i am willing to modify the post and suggest that the dealership was willing to cover some costs and was looking for ways to "up" my purchasing experience. Just FYI, The BMW dealer requires 10-15 days to order the key, I would still need to take time out of the day to bring the car in and wait for BMW to have it programmed. I called both Serpa and Town & Country BMW as of 3/29 - 2:30p, to confirm costs again. They are not sure why their prices vary. Serpa Base remote and key fob $371 Add $164 for 1hr labor to program comfort access feature $535 + tax T & C Base remote and key fob $411.40 Add $150 for 1hr labor to program comfort access feature They suggest 1.5hrs though?? $561 + $150 + tax Not sure how you can purchase a key and have it ready at the Hyundai dealer for me to pick up, considering it requires programming to the car. Thank you, I look forward to a response.

Hello I am in San Diego all week on business returning Monday. I would like to resolve this as quick as possible. I agree to pay the $300, please order a second replacement key with the comfort access programming and let me know details. Please ask Brek to call me when it has arrived to the dealership. Thank you.

Steve, please call me when you get back into town. I will not order another key until we have a conversation. Look forward to speaking to you and resolving this. Dave Dodds

Update, we finally agreed on a resolution. The GM reached out to me and offered to resolve this which many other dealers would not have, kudos to him. The deal, I pay $300 and the dealer pays the rest for a new key from BMW. The cost for a new key from BMW is a little over $640 bucks the dealer didn't have to offer anything but they still did. From a negative experience to a positive experience, hats off to them. Thank you.
