Hour later was told the jeep was sold Now Looking at 4x4 more money said be back tomorrow was not sure .Next day after was called 4 more times my different people. I made my way down . was called again by yet someone else the truck is not available. But they have another vehicle I don t want an SUV trying to sell me what I don t want. Frustrated went home from 17000 to 23000 to 27000 .Called again He had a Jeep its 38000 price just keeps going up. Said no .Next day woman calls me She is taking over from the last guy . Please come down for a test drive ON WHAT? She said send me a list of what your looking for and how much you want to spend . I hung up and blocked the number. I sent a complaint to CCA and AMVIC. People No disrespect but I have never seen such a xxxxED UP company like yours ever. 7 SALES PEOPLE 7 ????? More
I am writing to follow up on the significant mechanical issues currently affecting my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE purchase at Renfrew Chrysler, in Calgary. While multiple attempts to reach management in sales h issues currently affecting my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE purchase at Renfrew Chrysler, in Calgary. While multiple attempts to reach management in sales have gone completely unanswered. After only 4,000 km, the high-voltage system's heater core failed. Now, at 12,000 km, I have experienced another major failure where engine oil has leaked into the engine coolant. The two fluids have mixed into the engine. The vehicle is currently at Legacy Dodge Fort McMurray. While I have no complaints regarding the service provided by the dealership, in fact they have gone well beyond in an attempt to rectify what is mechanically wrong. I am extremely disappointed in the build quality of this vehicle and the lack of response from the dealer which I bought the vehicle from. As a veteran with 21 years of military service, I find it unacceptable that a brand marketing its military heritage produces a vehicle that suffers multiple critical failures and becomes un-drivable within its first year and less than 12,000kms of use from new. Due to the persistent issues with the hybrid system and the 2.0L engine, I no longer feel safe or comfortable transporting my children in this vehicle. The potential for fire and critical mechanical failure has completely eroded my trust in this particular unit. I am requesting that Jeep take back this vehicle and provide a new Wrangler of similar value without the hybrid system. I would like to remain a Jeep owner, but I cannot continue to drive a vehicle that compromises the safety of my family. Despite having new vehicle warranty, it is the trust of the unit which is not there, and in as much as I feel attached to the heart and soul of the vehicle, I cannot place my children or my grandson in the back seat for fear of not being able to extract them in time in case either the battery or engine fail a second time. I have found suitable replacements in the Alberta area which are the same value or price. The total cost of repair will be extremely high, especially when taken into consideration the length of time required for the PHEV rebuild, engine replacement and rental car. It will likely be more economical to take the vehicle back and provide an agreed upon replacement. One which brings the joy back in owning my first jeep, one which will and can be passed down to my kids when it is their turn. Sales team mentioned due to multiple messages and calls not returned. Very disappointing experience with Renfrew Chrysler (Calgary) Edit: After posting this review, the Dealer Principal, Shawn Fennell, reached out to us personally and worked hard to make things right. (Calgary) Edit: After posting this review, the Dealer Principal, Shawn Fennell, reached out to us personally and worked hard to make things right. He arranged for a loaner vehicle to be delivered to us in Edmonton, had our Mini Cooper picked up and taken back to Calgary, and ensured the mechanical issues were inspected and repaired. He also had the vehicle thoroughly detailed. A few weeks later, they brought the Mini back to us and picked up the loaner. We appreciate the effort made to correct the situation and follow through on the repairs. I live in Edmonton and recently purchased a pre-owned Mini Cooper from Renfrew Chrysler in Calgary. I truly wish I could say it was a good experience, but it has been frustrating and disappointing from the start. When we arrived to pick up the car, it immediately smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and wet dog. There were literally handfuls of dog fur under the seats. The salesman rushed to have it cleaned while we waited — it only took about 20 minutes, so it clearly wasn’t properly detailed and after over a month it still smells terrible. On the drive back to Edmonton, we noticed that the car was automatically shifting between Drive and Drive Sport on its own, which it’s not supposed to do. This makes the car harder on fuel and feels like a mechanical issue that should have been caught before selling it. Then, just three weeks later, a warning light appeared saying that the brakes are worn and need to be replaced immediately. When I contacted the manager, Rick Veno, he offered to let us trade the vehicle “dollar for dollar” for something else on their lot — but only gave us until the weekend to do so. We both work full-time and couldn’t make the trip back that quickly, and there were no other vehicles we were interested in. When I asked if I could have the car inspected at a local shop in Edmonton, he told me no — saying that local shops “just find problems that don’t actually exist.” I also asked if they had a sister company or another Chrysler dealership nearby that could take a look, and he said he’d get back to me. That was two weeks ago. Since then, he has stopped returning my calls completely. This has been an extremely disappointing experience, especially after spending thousands of dollars on a vehicle I expected to be safe and properly inspected. I would strongly caution anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Renfrew Chrysler to be very careful and ensure that everything is verified in writing before signing anything. The lack of follow-up and accountability has been unacceptable. More
