After the fix they want me to pay for dignostics because vw would not pay them for diagnostics cause they took way longer then normal to fix the issue and dealer wants to charge me for their incompetence. When it was time to pick up the car, scratches were found on the rear bumper and roof was not properly installed onto the railings, which to me looked like an amateur job. They also forgot to do the required upfront paid oil change and tire rotation which I had to debate with the service department that a tire rotation was needed + already paid for but not done. I've been calling many times to get it fix which we finally did. We had to go back to get it done again without apologizing for the inconvenience or any incentives. We were also supposed to get a courtesy car for the repair which was not available (which they said it would ) at the time so ended up spending 30 extra minutes to rent a car which they paid for. Fast forward 2 months, the roof is leaking again and the warranty is running out in 6 days. I tried to call them 4 times this morning and yesterday, never been able to get to anyone and no return phone call. Well, they are good to deal with to book appointments and being flexible, but even for oil change they never know if they are going to be on time for the appointment. What a joke. We are now going to deal with Maple Ridge VW. More

What a joke this place is. More
all about sales & service is like a necessary evil for them We visited Regency VW on Thursday evening and wanted to test drive a 2016 4-door Golf GTI. A Golf R was also shown. Blin said that because the Golf R We visited Regency VW on Thursday evening and wanted to test drive a 2016 4-door Golf GTI. A Golf R was also shown. Blin said that because the Golf R is a VW fans car the front number plate is never screwed onto the bumper & instead tied onto the front honey-comb grill... but with the GTI they just screw it to the bumper. We enjoyed test driving the car & sat down with Blin to discuss the numbers. We negotiated about a 5% discount via Blin. But we ran out of time. Blin was also in a hurry because there were other customers who needed attention. Blin suggested we pay a $3,000 deposit -- the largest sum their credit card machine could handle -- and return the next day to complete the purchase. However, I told Blin Friday was busy & I would return on the Saturday to complete the paper-work; paying the difference between the 'money down' -- $5,000 in this case -- & the deposit, & credit check for VW's 0% offer. Next day I emailed Blin at 11:28 AM about Winter tires. He replied at 6:49 PM but no winter tire info. I replied at 6:51 PM asking what to bring the next day. He replied at 9:30 PM. Saturday morning Blin greeted me & took me to Todd's office. While Todd took the credit check details, Blin apologized for the slow email replies & went off to research winter tires ($1,800 and $1,900). He returned & corrected himself; the car came with all-season tires! Todd started the credit check. "It would be ready on Monday with the car." Couldn't believe my ears! Monday?! Todd said the credit check might clear earlier BUT car detailing had to happen on Monday. I asked why they didn't detail it yesterday... or do the credit check via phone yesterday? Blin said he understood we were still 'thinking it over'. I asked why & he said that he's not a native speaker. I said you don't have to be a native speaker to understand a $3,000 deposit. Todd told Blin to stop talking & offered me the 'nano' paint protection for free. They both apologized about my sucky buying experience. I left. Later Saturday my wife got home & freaked out at the news. We drove to OpenRoad VW in Burnaby who had the same car already detailed & would do the same deal & throw in extras, & do the credit check immediately, & we could take the car that evening! Also, they said you never drill the number plate onto the front bumper of a GTI! But we had no time to do the paper work so agreed to return the next day & put down a $500 deposit. Later I emailed Todd & Blin asking for my $3,000 deposit back. At 11:20 AM on Sunday I got a call from Patrick (sales manager). He said we could come in to get the deposit back but he would also try to change our minds. We drove to Regency. Strangely Patrick was not working there so we spoke to Ash who spent about an hour trying to convince us & offered more incentives (e.g. another 5% off the car) but we said it's not about the money. Finally we asked for the deposit back one last time. This time Ash's demeanor changed to no longer friendly & said it's possible but we would have to return on Monday! He said the reason is that only Larry has a special refund pin for the credit card machine. I asked for a business card for Larry the general manager but there were no cards. I asked for the telephone number but they said they never give out his number. They did give me his email address. I asked Ash to call Patrick and ask him why he suggested I should come in to get a refund. Ash disappeared into his room and went on the phone for a long time, never coming out. Finally Todd showed up and said I didn't need to return & that he would refund the deposit first thing on Monday at 9:30 AM. We left exhausted, to pick up our new car from Openroad VW. Finally at 11:24 AM on Monday the refund receipt arrived via email & Todd called to make sure I got it. More
Terrible Sales Lots of pressure on buying the car. Didn't feel any friendliness or welcoming atmosphere. It felt like it was a business meeting between partners.
