I received an U74 recall notice from Chrysler for my Ram 1500; on my last visit, I was not a satisfied customer and since that time, I only take my vehicle to Raceway for recalls and manufacture warrantee issues. This recall work entailed removing 8 screws from the tailgate access panel, removing the boot cover for the actuator slide, placing a floating stop in the channel, put the boot back in place and reinstall the access panel cover. A 30-45 minute procedure including paperwork and service time. I arrived early and was advised it would take two hours. Not sure why I made an appointment, as it's obviously a first come first serve facility. I planned a morning appointment as I had plans for the afternoon. Three hours later, I called to inquire about my vehicle; the only person that could assist me was my service advisor and apparently she was not available. I asked the person who answered the phone to check to see if my vehicle was in the service bay, and if it wasn't, to pull the work order and I'd come over to pick up the vehicle. After waiting on hold for 8 minutes, I was advised my vehicle was in the shop and they were working on recall service. I again asked when my vehicle would be ready, "sorry I don't know, your service advisor will call you back". I requested to be transferred to the service manager and left a message with the information and a requested a callback. (Still waiting) approximately 30 minutes later, I did receive a call from the service advisor, my vehicle was ready. ( The recall repair takes about 20 minutes.) It's unfortunate that the service department doesn't have the same reputation as the new car sales team. And just to be clear, this is a management issue, not the service advisor. My mistake, I gave them a second chance. The last time I spoke with the service manager he offered a complementary detailing for my inconvenience. I declined and informed him I was only looking for great service. Truthfully, I'd settle for mediocre service from Raceway, that would be a huge improvement More
