Took several of my cars to Preston for servicing. In the past my corvette needed a starter replaced it with over a $1k invoice. Did several oil changes in the past. Took my Corvette in to do a diagnostic and was advised needed a new clutch. Was quoted over $1800 more than other shops using original GMC parts.. As I was getting quotes and advised the sales person. He said are you doing it with us or not, I said getting comparisons and he advised $35 per day parking and get it off our lot asap. Was rude and not understanding at all. I will be taking my business elsewhere and disgusting the way a customer was dealt with. BTW Preston I was also buying the new caddy to upgrade mine lost that too. Cya best of luck! More

I was very pleased with my latest service with Preston. I was greeted by Jarret and he was very professional while dealing with me and reviewing my previous servicing records on my XT5. He recommended I get a transmission fluid service, to which I agreed, and instead of the hour wait for just an oil change and filter it was going to be 4 hours. He arranged for car transportation back to my home so I didn’t have to wait in the show room. After I arrived home, I received a call stating the transmission fluid couldn’t be done at this time as they had to order 3 new plugs to do the servicing. That would have taken a couple of days to get delivered, so Jarret cancelled the service so I wouldn’t be without a vehicle during that time. He then organized car transportation to pick me back up and I was back at Preston within the hour. I was very pleased and thanked Jarret for taking care of me and my vehicle as well as he did. After waiting for a month to get an appointment at the dealership, they ran a diagnostic test and told me that the ballasts needed to be replaced. They quoted me around $1,200, which I found very expensive. So, I sourced the ballasts myself — original GM parts from the U.S. — which cost me approximately $700. I then had them installed at a friend’s workshop. However, after installation, the issue persisted. We eventually realized that the problem wasn’t with the ballasts but with the bulbs. I replaced the two bulbs, and the car’s headlights worked perfectly. I went back to the dealership and explained the situation. I told them that due to their incorrect diagnosis, I ended up spending $200 on their diagnostic test, $700 on the ballasts, and an additional $500 for installation, which was unnecessary. Their response was that if I had replaced the ballasts at their dealership, they would have identified the issue with the bulbs and replaced them for free. Essentially, they tried to justify their mistake by comparing the price of the bulbs, which were around $200 each, to the $1,200 they had quoted me for the ballasts. Despite their incorrect diagnosis and the lack of technical expertise shown by their technicians, they refused to refund even the cost of the diagnostic test. More
