My 2023 CRV Hybrid had a number of flashing lights on the dash this morning. i went directly to the dealership without having an appointment and although they were fully booked the service manager personally dash this morning. i went directly to the dealership without having an appointment and although they were fully booked the service manager personally dealt with my issues by using a scan tool to find the trouble engine codes. It turns out the battery (not the Hybrid battery) was low on charge and Mike ,the Service manger, personally fixed the issue by recharging the battery after testing it to make sure the Battery was not defective. There was no charge for this fix. Mike is an excellent service manager and is very customer focused. He runs an excellent service department. TOP TIER Dealership. More
Write your name on your tires & rims! they put a set of black rims with rust onto my HRV instead of my brand new silver rims & tires with a tire thread of 10/32. Terrible. My 2022 Honda CRV broke down. Computer chip issues. Took a week to get repaired. “An engineer from Honda Can repaired it”. 2 days later we are left in the freezing cold awaiting Roadside assist issues. Took a week to get repaired. “An engineer from Honda Can repaired it”. 2 days later we are left in the freezing cold awaiting Roadside assistance. Same problem. It is Dec24 and we are to depart for Florida 26 Dec. Problem is no service dept open until Jan. We are paying rent for a winter vacation that we can’t reach. We are paying for a car which we don’t have. No rental available unless authorized by dealership. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH PORTLAND ST HONDA.. NO CONFIDENCE THAT THIS HONDA is safe to drive to the US. I hate to say that after 8 years as a loyal customer, I will be giving Portland Street Honda a "zero star" rating. I expect my dealership to take the good and the bad, not just take the good and not take a will be giving Portland Street Honda a "zero star" rating. I expect my dealership to take the good and the bad, not just take the good and not take accountability for their bad mistakes. Prior to this incident, my Pilot has only been serviced by this dealership. At this particular servicing, my vehicle's engine was revving and taking a bit to switch gears. I brought it in and they said it needed a switch, so I paid to have the work completed. A week or so later, I had to call back with the same issue. They then told me it was difficult to find the problem but they felt it either needed a new "mother" board linked to the transmission or a new battery.. They recommended the battery as the board never goes. Taking their recommendation, I had them replace the battery. A week or so later, the problem was still there and getting worse so instead of bringing to them again to "not" fix the problem and potentially fix something else, I brought to another mechanic who very quickly assessed it was the flange that connected the catalytic converter, the exhaust pipe rusted out. He fixed it and my pilot is running perfectly. SO why is Portland Street Honda getting ZERO STARS? It's not because I believe they fixed items on my vehicle that I believe were not the issue... BUT because after calling and speaking with the service manager, HE had the gull to tell me I likely had three different things wrong with my vehicle at the same time, and that none of this was related.. So in my opinion, it is no good supporting a dealership that doesn't care about loyally, only wants your money and takes no accountability for maybe being wrong.. I never asked for my money back as new parts are on my vehicle, but I did ask for the labour credit for the labour I was charged. I think that was more than reasonable given they made mistakes and I felt a labour credit should be of no consequence to them. Well, I was wrong, apparently the few hours of labour credit and Honda being "right" was worth more than continuing to service my vehicle and future vehicles. I will never support the dealership or give a good recommendation in the future. If you go online, Portland Street Honda gets almost five stars from a service prospective. Prior to a month ago, I would have given them a high rating as well but it only takes one time to show true colours and treat people disrespectfully for a five star to go to zero star. More
I have purchased a brand new 2016 Honda Odyssey and the driver side sliding door cable snapped after 4 years. I then contacted Honda Canada to let them know how dissatisfied since the cable is clearly not driver side sliding door cable snapped after 4 years. I then contacted Honda Canada to let them know how dissatisfied since the cable is clearly not strong enough and does not have protection against corrosion. Regardless, Honda Canada was willing to help with this issue. All I needed was a report from a Honda technician. I called Portland St. Honda and they could not take my vehicle until 21 Dec. So I called the Service Manager twice to further discuss the issue. He never bothered to call me back. I then stopped at the dealership and asked to speak with the Service Manager. He never got out of his office to come and talk to me. I was baffled. That speaks volume to me. So I calmly told the service department employee that I was very disappointed about this and for the fact that we have purchased our last 2 vehicles at that dealership. Honda is a reliable brand, no questions about it but the service afterwards leaves room for improvement. More

Marc took about an hour following the sale going thru my new CR-V, including setting up my phone, driving to the gas station for a complimentary fill up. Always had positive experiences at Portland Street Honda over the years, including the services department. They always had things done correctly and on time. More

This dealer does not not honor thier warranty. "All about you!" What a laugh. The clear coat is peeling off my Honda civic. Brought it to Portland street Honda's attention during the warranty period, which I paid extra for, and they refused to paint the whole car, just painted the bonnet. Now the bonnet is the only part not peeling. I have seen at least 10 cars in the Dartmouth with the same issue. Tsk tsk Portland Steet Honda. More

So I took them apart thinking maybe it was the caliber or slider pins not working properly. After inspecting still not able to figure out the problem, I was really getting frustrated with this problem so I took my car to a mechanic and when he put my car up on the lift he noticed the pads weren’t setting on the slider, so come to find out after all this and paying for a mechanic I was given the wrong brake pads. I live 1hr from Portland Street Honda so I had to make a special trip there. I talked to the Parts department and since I didn’t have my receipt they couldn’t help me in any way. They admitted they made the mistake but still couldn’t do anything without my receipt and for some reason they couldn’t find me in their system. After not getting any help with their mistake I left their and went to Colonial Honda in Halifax where I would normally go because their service is A 1 and bought my pads. I will never step foot in Portland Street Honda again. I called Honda Canada customer relations, they’re looking into this . More
