Seems to me, customer service is not as important as getting as much hard-earned money as they possibly can. A small problem with my car eneded costing me money as they failed to inform me over the phon getting as much hard-earned money as they possibly can. A small problem with my car eneded costing me money as they failed to inform me over the phone that a simple turn of the gas cap could possibly solve the problem. After complaining, the service managed stated that the information was witheld because if the problem was serious, then it would have been much more costly. I guess he forgot that the person on the phone previously informed me that because the engine light was not blinking, it wasn't serious. In fact, I had to wait a week to bring it in as they were booked solid! Aside from other problems too lengthy to mention, their staff seem to be ill-informed and unable to answer simple warranty questions. I will never go there again and I will never recommend them to anyone. More
Sep 15, 2011 - Pathway Hyundai and Hyundai are falling in the same pattern as the American companies in the 70's to 90's. They are doing so well that they just do not care about their customers. When I first dealt with them in 2008, they provided good service and actually cared about their customers. Now that they are doing so well they just no longer care. They charged me $60 to change a fuse... Yes that is right, $60 to change a fuse. I was told two different stories as to the work that was done to some up to $60 for a fuse. I tried to reason with them, but they did not want to listen. My Honda dealer verified my entire exhaust system without any additional charge, and they charge $60 to change a fuse. My last four service appointments have been really bad. Work not well done. Car left with dirty hand marks all over the car. I told them that they have lost a customer for life. I do not recommend this dealership for any type of service. --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- Nov 16, 2011 - Pathway Hyundai has been kind enough by following up on client satisfaction. They have contacted me and have resolved this issue, thus I am satisfied with the way this issue has been resolved. I have in the past been mostly satisfied with the service which they have provided. I am looking forward dealing with Pathway Hyundai service department for my next and future maintenance. Since Pathway Hyundai has resolved this issue, I have modified my overall scoring accordingly. I dealt with Stéphane for my first (and first new) car. Strongly recommended!! Patrick was very accomadating, taking the time to show us many models as my wife was unsure as to the model she wanted and if new vs used was better. I purchased my first Hyundai product last week (pre-owned not from Pathway) and service advisor Gordon Joyce was the first contact I had with the dealership. At that point I was interested in a particular car but had some concerns about some possible service issues and Gordon basically treated an over the phone stranger (me) like a friend. His input (more than just answering a phone call) gave me the information and piece of mind to go ahead and make with the purchase with confidence knowing that I had good people to deal with when the car needed work. I cannot say enough good things about Mr. Joyce and the technician who recently worked on my car Jason Keblic. They both went out of their way to accommodate me, answer my many questions, and provide a level of customer service and professionalism that quite frankly I have not experienced at other dealerships. I will be sure to let others know how well I was treated at Pathway Hyundai. More
