A friend recommended Pathway and we decided to test drive an Accent. Gord Ouimet immediately helped us with respect and some humour which we appreciated. There was never a feeling of being pressured. It was a very refreshing experience buying this car. This was down to Gord. He explained everything we required. Thanks Gord and Pathway. More
well my rating speaks for itself, as i am very disappointed in the professionalism of both the salesman and sales manager, the're attitude was unbelievably cocky, rude, harsh, on top of pressuring disappointed in the professionalism of both the salesman and sales manager, the're attitude was unbelievably cocky, rude, harsh, on top of pressuring me into buying the vehicle after just such a short period of time. i speak probably for many people who have been pressured into buying their vehicle without even knowing. these smooth talking people did not fool me as they probably fooled their girlfriends/wives into liking them. i have purchased from bank st hyundai, although they did not have the color i wanted i much more enjoyed the service, the salesman there did not treat me like an idiot. During the course of our experience, we found both Julian and Ian very accommodating; they both seemed genuinely concerned for our better interests. All in all, we were happy with their approach to sales and financing procedures, and we love our new Hyundai. I would highly recommend this dealership and these employees to others who are looking to buy a vehicle. More
Just purchased a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe from Devin and enjoyed the process. I usually don't like the hassles that go along with buying a car but I found Devin was great. He knew his product and was great at helping me get the car I was looking for. The Financing process was also relatively painless and Ian walked us through the various options with trying to force us one way or another. Overall a fantastic experience and I would certainly look at going back and purchasing another car from Devin. More
Julian was excellent. We were only interested in purchasing a new vehicle as our 2010 Santa Fe was a lemon (38000 km's and the vehicle already had gone through 3 transmissions and we felt this probl purchasing a new vehicle as our 2010 Santa Fe was a lemon (38000 km's and the vehicle already had gone through 3 transmissions and we felt this problem would continue, as indeed proved true). We accepted that Hyundai generally makes reliable vehicles and that our 2010 was an aberration. Having to trade made the purchase of a new vehicle very expensive as the 2010 Santa Fe wasn't worth what was still owing through the financing we had taken out. Thus, we weren't happy about the price for our new 2013 but felt the purchase still had to be made. More
This was my first car purchase and to be honest I was not looking forward to it. After meeting Gord everything was super easy and he made the experience as enjoyabe as possible. He went above and beyond even looking forward to it. After meeting Gord everything was super easy and he made the experience as enjoyabe as possible. He went above and beyond even emailing me pictures when my car arrived at the dealership. Amazing! Thank you Gord! More
I was undecided which vehicle in my price range that I wanted to purchase. I had 5 dealerships to visit and take a test drive. I was impressed with Anthony's knowledge and the questions he asked me. He di wanted to purchase. I had 5 dealerships to visit and take a test drive. I was impressed with Anthony's knowledge and the questions he asked me. He didn't pressure me, but kept in contact with me. He encouraged me to look at all my options, so that once my decision was made I would be happy. I did my research (Consumer's Report New Car Guide), plus general internet research. I test drove several cars. I went back to Anthony and test drove the Elantra GT 3 times. No one ever pushed me, which is a great thing. Once I decided, there was no looking back. The financial part went smoothly, and I believe I got a fair deal. I picked my car up 4 days later, with the accessories I wanted, full tank of gas, sparkling clean. Anthony went through everything in the car, set up my bluetooth etc. I have had follow up calls and visited the dealership since my purchase. I am thrilled with my car (Elantra GT... black). I would highly recommend the car and dealership (especially Anthony). More
The staff at this dealership were all friendly and inviting, without being pushy. I felt great about my purchase knowing I didn't do it under pressure or rushed. I felt comfortable asking a ton of que inviting, without being pushy. I felt great about my purchase knowing I didn't do it under pressure or rushed. I felt comfortable asking a ton of questions and Gord had all the answers - very knowledgable! I liked how he made sure to cover everything down to the last detail, without having to ask. I love my new Elantra and look forward to continued business at this location. More
Service which is NOT service. Go to Sergenor Hyundai instead. Here's why: We recently started noticing a new noise under the hood. It was a very consistent noise once the car was warmed up and up to instead. Here's why: We recently started noticing a new noise under the hood. It was a very consistent noise once the car was warmed up and up to speed. This noise would go away before the car came to a stop, and did not change at all based on the car's speed (sounded exactly the same at 5km/h, 50km/h, 80km/h). I explained all of this to the service guys at Pathway, and even brought one of them on a road test to demonstrate the noise. I explained that I thought it was something related to the power steering, because turning the wheel slightly when I heard the noise would make it change a bit. And turning the air con on or off made no difference. Once they had the car, they called back to say they couldn't reproduce it again. I told them to take it out longer, and they were able to reproduce it at that point. They then called back to tell me the power steering pressure was within specs, and that everything looked OK there, so they thought it was a brake noise, which I was fairly confident it was not. Tried to explain to the guy that brake noises will change based on wheel speed, and will usually be pretty consistent while the car is moving, or when you apply or release the brakes. This noise we were hearing did not change at all with speed, or whether or not the brakes were applied. The service guy actually tried to tell me that some brake noises would sound the same at any speed, which is the complete opposite of what basic physics will tell you... They called back again later to say they saw a rust ridge on the brakes, so they told me I had to get the brakes serviced. I explained all of the above again, and they went for another test drive. After test drive number 3, their mechanic (which the service guy was very pleased to say had 31 years of experience) said that a dust shield had to be bent back on the brakes, and that the noise went away. I picked up the car anyway, pretty much knowing the noise would come back. While heading home with the car, sure enough, the noise started up again. I called Pathway again and they told me they wouldn't do anything else until I service the brakes, which I'd have to pay for. I then brought the car to Surgenor Hyundai a few days later, and they fixed the problem the same day. They found a badly pinched line in the power steering, which would make the noise when fluid would run through the line. They replaced it, and the noise is gone. They told me it was pretty obvious that that was the problem, and they didn't know how the other dealer would have missed that. So lesson learned: DON'T GO TO PATHWAY! Service there is terrible. More
With my last vehicle I didn't have a good experience (different dealership) so when I went to Pathway and was served by Gord Ouimet I was extremely happy and pleasantly surprised. He took his time with (different dealership) so when I went to Pathway and was served by Gord Ouimet I was extremely happy and pleasantly surprised. He took his time with me, made sure to show me all the features the vehicle has, took me out to a parking lot to show me everything that the vehicle could do. I've never had a sales person make me feel like my best interests were the most important thing rather than just the sale. I would highly recommend Pathway and more importantly Gord Ouimet if you're buying a new car. He's a great representation for Pathway! More
