My clutch stopped working. After paying for an inspection, I was told I needed to replace the master cylinder. I therefore had the master cylinder replaced. Since work was being done on the vehi inspection, I was told I needed to replace the master cylinder. I therefore had the master cylinder replaced. Since work was being done on the vehicle, I opted to have the regular maintenance service done at the same time. A week later, the clutch stopped working again. I returned the car and was told that this time, the slave cylinder needed replacing. So I had it replaced. A week later, when I started the car, there was a loud screeching noise and a cloud of smoke started billowing from under the hood. When I had a look, I noticed that a belt had snapped. At this point, I wrote the service manager (Dave Haldimand) to inquire about how these issues could arise. I was told that it was difficult to determine which cylinder (master or slave) actually needed replacing, that perhaps both originally needed replacing, or that perhaps the one broke after (or as a result of) the replacement. As for the belt, he didn't have an answer. I wrote back pointing out that I had paid for an inspection (which admittedly was either not done or done incompetently) and wasn't satisfied with his answer. I also asked how it was possible for the belt to break given that it was (should have been) inspected during the routine maintenance I paid for. Again, either the work wasn't done or wasn't done properly. I also asked what the cost to have the belt replaced would be. His reply was to offer a $100 discount. I wasn't satisfied since I had spent several hundred dollars on parts and labour, some of which wasn't necessary. I wrote back explaining that I was a loyal Hyundai customer, that I had brought a number of customers to his dealership (both my parents, bought a Santa Fe and an Elantra, my brother, bought an Accent, and my closest friend, bought a Tucson, all on my recommendation) and that I expected a better explanation and resolution of the above issues. It is at this point that he stopped communicating with me - ignoring my calls and emails. Since then, I have shared my bad experience with friends, colleagues and neighbours some of which (Hyundai owners) have admitted having bad experiences with this same dealership. Those of us in the market for new vehicles have also taken our business elsewhere. More

Zina, the sales rep I deal with, was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm and positive attitude is contagious. I believe she was as excited as I was about my new purchase! She knows her cars, the available inventory, and was very intent on matching me with my ‘wish list’. The Sonata I purchased was exactly my dream car! She sat with me in my new vehicle and went over everything inside, so I would know how all the features worked before I left the dealership. It was truly a pleasure dealing with Zina and I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in purchasing either a new or used vehicle. I found Paul both competent and very knowledgeable on the ‘business’ end of my purchase. He advised me of all the financial options available to me. He really knows his stuff! However, I did have a less than stellar experience with Paul – I found him to be a little too ‘pushy’. Ciara stepped in at the last minute to assist with the financing of my vehicle. She did a great job, and had everything in place in less than 24 hours! Impressive! She was very pleasant and friendly to deal with. As for pricing, I believe I paid a fair price, a reasonable price, but it was not a ‘great’ deal. However, I love the vehicle and trust that I will have several happy years driving it! Overall, Pathway Hyundai is a great place to buy a car! I would absolutely recommend it to any of my friends or family! More
My husband and I came into your dealership only to look and test drive an SUV. We weren't sure exactly which one yet. Darrell Turner was a great help and not pushy at all. Mr Stewart took time from his busy schedule to meet with us personally, making us feel comfortable and welcome. He introduced us to various staff members and placed us in the capable hands of his trusted sales team where we were subsequently treated like family. Derek Walker (Sales Associate) Our sales associate, Derek Walker, made us feel right at home and helped us choose the perfect vehicles for our family. He was friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Derek was able to answer all our of our many technical questions during the purchasing process and was extremely patient with us, as this was our first time at a Hyundai dealer. Derek went out of his way to help us narrow down the search and provided us with useful information which assisted us in making our final decisions. On pick up day (only 3 days later) Derek took the time to show us all the features of our new Tucson and Accent. He made sure that our family (teenaged daughters included) were comfortable in our new vehicles before letting us drive off the lot. He even took the time to sync the family's I Phones (all 4 of them) with the vehicle and set up our favourite radio stations and free 90 day trial of XM Satellite radio. I would highly recommend Derek Walker to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle, whether this is your first or fifteenth buying experience. Stephane Pare (Sales Manager) Stephane Pare was extremely helpful during the "paperwork" aspect of the sale. He explained all of the fees and rebates and ensured that we were getting the best possible prices for the vehicles we were buying. He answered all our questions honestly and was a pleasure to deal with. He was approachable and professional and made us feel like we were the most important customers in the showroom. Paul Gordon (Financial Manager) Paul Gordon was also extremely helpful during the "paperwork" and financing process of our purchases. His knowledge was very useful in deciding on our financing and payment options. He took into consideration all of our personal finances at the present time and in the future and helped us choose a plan that was best for our family. He explained everything to us in terms that we could understand and we left feeling confident in our purchases.
