He provided me with information for both vehicles and finally I decided on the Accord based on his recommendation. He helped me make my decision based on my requirements and needs. The only Honda dealership I will go to I had bad experience with other dealerships and their salesmen before I walked into OpenRoad honda and met with Philip Tam. I was frustrated and tired I had bad experience with other dealerships and their salesmen before I walked into OpenRoad honda and met with Philip Tam. I was frustrated and tired of traditional car salesman's tricks and tactics. Thanks to Philip who restored my faith back. Philip is professional, efficient and most importantly, he understood our frustration and was able to provide the service catering to our needs. We were in and out of the dealership less than an hour with a settled deal. If you want a stress free, non-time wasting yet an excellent customer service, Philip Tam from Open Road Honda Burnby is your go to guy! More
Gave False Information on Vehicle Called in and spoke to Sales Manager Moe who refused to talk details on a vehicle we were interested in because that was what “Salesmen” were for. We Called in and spoke to Sales Manager Moe who refused to talk details on a vehicle we were interested in because that was what “Salesmen” were for. We explained our struggles in dealing with Salesmen and why we would rather just talk to him instead but he was indifferent. We were handed over to a Salesman named Kenneth and began to talk details about the vehicle we were interested in. Kenneth told us that the vehicle was claim/accident free, local and bought from them. We agreed to a price and went in to see the vehicle and make a deal. When we got there, we inspected the vehicle. Passenger door panel misaligned and protruding from rest of body. Passenger side sliding door refuses to lock into place when fully opened. Lots of touch up paint that at first glance isn't noticeable because it's white(White cars are easier to touch up). After the inspection we met with Kenneth at his desk where he again confirmed that it was clean. We asked for the Car Proof Report and ICBC papers. The papers showed that there was a claim pending in Saskatchewan on the vehicle. When we asked what that meant he told us it was a claim being processed, meaning it did have an accident on it after all. Also, we found out that it had not been sold at their dealership and was not local. So nothing he told us in the end was true. All false information. We made sure to complain to Moe and that is why we told him we didn't want to deal with a Salesman in the first place. Openroad Honda wasted our time and lost our trust. We would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
I did a lot of research into a used car and the prices around town and then called this dealership ahead and stated my price range and asked if they had a certain model in that range and was told that the around town and then called this dealership ahead and stated my price range and asked if they had a certain model in that range and was told that they could help me, so I drove 30 minutes to take a look. The sales guy said to go away and think about it because the price on the car was very high (a used 2009 priced as a new 2013) but could likely come down to my price range. A few hours later they called me back and I said that they could meet my price range and to come back in. I again drove across town and met with the dealer. After half an hour of asking, he finally gave me a price, still way too high. Then he brought me over to the manager. I stated my ceiling (which had went up, tricky sales people), and he rudely told me that this isn't the car for me. So I left as it was still way over priced (my price ceiling was still higher than the value and even than other cars that I had seen from other dealerships, but I liked the car so I was willing to pay a little more, but not a lot). An hour later they texted me and came down near my price, but I had been told twice before to come in and they treated me badly so I won't bother driving across town again. As a woman, I had been warned not to go to a dealership alone because they treat you like you don't know anything. Maybe that's what this manager was trying to pull on me. Or maybe he's just rude. If he was willing to meet my price, why treat me like crap first? Why not politely negotiate down? This left me with a bad taste for dealerships. More

I asked the salesperson, Willa (who had approached me) and she said they had taken out the batteries on all the showroom models. WHY? - She couldn't answer, but suggested we go outside to one of the test drive vehicles to look. 2) after seeing the trunk we came inside and sat down at her desk and instead of providing info. about the car and proposing a test drive, she immediately goes straight to the sales pitch and ask if I am willing to buy today. Surprised, I told her I am serious about buying a vehicle, but not unless I first drive the vehicle and see the performance. 3) so Willa then sets out to arrange a test drive and comes back with a form for me to sign. I ask what is this??? and she said they had implement this new policy a week ago in which the customer has to sign this form that not only indemnifies them of all responsibility, but also makes me responsible for any damages incurred from the test drive. I was shocked and told her none of the dealers that I had test driven a vehicle made me sign anything. She was embarrassed and said there was nothing she could do. I asked her after the test drive, if everything is fine, will I get this form back and she responded no. 4) after reluctantly signing the form, I informed Willa that I would like to test drive the CRV on the highway and uphill and see how the car performed. She said because this is a Saturday, we can only go on a set route which was only 5 blocks long and flat. I told her that is not sufficient and is no different than driving in their parking lot. Again, she said that is their policy. At that point I have had enough and told her I am going to another dealer and would like to have my signed form back. She went to fetch it and speak to her manager. When she came back she said she will shred the document instead of giving it to me and did it for me to witness. More
