Where to start. .. 1 star seems too high at this point. The only positive experience I had was when I purchased my vehicle. This is where everything goes downhill. .. 1 star seems too high at this point. The only positive experience I had was when I purchased my vehicle. This is where everything goes downhill. On my drive home from the dealership (roughly an hour) I started getting a vibration that shook the entire front of the car. Concerned, I made an appointment (3 weeks away). Finally get there, and they fix a small issue in the back of the vehicle. I advised that tires were possible issue as well, service rep AND their sales team argued with me, so I bought a set from my own pocket. STILL having the vibration, and no one seems to care enough that its almost put us into a ditch, as well as a guard rail on the 401. After reaching out multiple times no less. Would NEVER recommend anything from there. EVER. More
DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT I'm unsure if the staff here are incompetent or shifty. Either way... Had my vehicle towed here in March of last year after the engine wouldn't turn over. explain staff here are incompetent or shifty. Either way... Had my vehicle towed here in March of last year after the engine wouldn't turn over. explained that I have an extended warranty - was told by tech Derik, no, I don't. Was then given a quote for $1500 to fix. Warranty was mentioned again, and also sent a copy of it to them, and then I agreed to the fix and figured I would just take it up with warranty later. Was then told part was in the states and would take a couple weeks to get. I wait two weeks, no call. I call 3 weeks in, nobody takes OR RETURNS my call. After another week of unanswered calls, I go in, only to be told by Michael Corbett that the part would be in shortly, and that nobody has returned my call because it is a new building and the phone systems don't work well. After another week, I escalate. Ask Manager Pamela Graham to call me. When she doesn't call or return my emails, I escalate with VW Canada. That gets her attention. Proceeds to tell me that the techs have been "attempting to reach me multiple times" (not true) I take time off to go in find out what is going on with my vehicle (as again, nobody takes phone calls) and to find out when I can expect work to be completed. I am met with pass the buck attitude from Michael and confrontation from Pamela. This dealership ended up having my car for 7 months(!!) before they diagnosed the issue and made my car run again. Warranty people did their job and made sure that most of the $4000 bill Oakville VW first issued me was correctly taken care of. HOWEVER - When I finally picked it up, it still wasn't running properly and In December I reached out again as the engine light was on and it, again, was running in limp mode. When nobody returned my emails, I had to take it to a dealership further away to finally have it fixed enough that I can use it. As mad as I've been about the whole experience, I hadn't written a review. I write one now ONLY because I recently took my vehicle into a different dealership - and the service I got was MILES ahead of what Oakville VW can only hope to be. This dealership listened to me, checked into my history with the vehicle, and communicated with me all the information that I asked for. I could write a full novel of the failings of Oakville VW's service department, but if you've read this far, you get the picture. Simply put, you're better off having your car serviced at the wreckers. You'd actually have a chance of getting it back in better shape. More
Great work service team! They took time to review the issues and got it all fixed and me back on the road in a few hours. Special thanks to Pamela and Zarko. They took time to review the issues and got it all fixed and me back on the road in a few hours. Special thanks to Pamela and Zarko. More
Buyers beware this is a terrible dealership … stay away I recently bought a 2024 GTI and it was by far the worst car buying experience of my entire life. It took around 6 months from placing my order away I recently bought a 2024 GTI and it was by far the worst car buying experience of my entire life. It took around 6 months from placing my order to receiving my car and during that time every interaction I had with the staff at this dealership was terrible. It took me 3 tries to pick up my car, the first time they tried to give me a car with different specs, the second time their service department installed only half the parts that I had ordered and most of the accessories were also missing. Instead of being apologetic they questioned if I had paid for the missing parts. They told me that all the missing parts were on back-order for the last 6 months and therefore I would have to take the car as is. I refused and finally got my car 2 days later once they had done all the work. The Sales (Andrew) and Service Manager (Pamela) lied to me on multiple occasions. On top of their incompetence and lies, they also treated me with an air of disdain and indifference which only made this a worse experience. I cannot imagine treating a customer at McDonald in such a manner let alone a person who had just given them over 50K $. Other than the Finance Manager there does not seem to be a competent person working there. More
This is the second time they lied to me. I was in service with my Tiguan for a new intake manifold. I was told it’s not in stock but it will be installed the next day. They installed a used manifold which will probably fail shortly. Do not trust anything they say. Take pictures of the parts requiring service. This is not a professional dealership and they can’t be trusted. Laurence More
Terrible experience, and lots of fake reviews on Google. All the most recent reviews are fake and purchased...says a lot about a dealer when they have to buy fake reviews. Also lots of complaints on Better All the most recent reviews are fake and purchased...says a lot about a dealer when they have to buy fake reviews. Also lots of complaints on Better Business Bureau on this dealer. Would give them 0 if I could. Strait out lied to us to get us in the door. Lots of negative reviews on other platforms.
