I had always gotten a bunch of hoo ha from family and friends about how much of a pain buying a car is -- not to mention how shady car sales people apparently are. I had a price range set and a list of features I'd prefer to have, as well as a list of a few cars off the Oregan's website to get a start on. Tyler went over every vehicle on my list plus a few others, demoed them (didn't have my full license when I started hunting), and most of all helped me pick a car that suited me while not breaking my budget. Being my first car buying experience, I probably could have managed to negotiate a bit more out of it, but that aside, I still got a really good deal on my vehicle. Tyler even arranged to drive it to a family member's house to store for a couple weeks while I waited for my license. On top of that, when I got my fulls, he went into the dealership on a day off and hooked me up with a temporary permit so I could drive it. This is definitely a guy that sees the true value of helping the customer. More

I had been searching for a used Pontiac and was not having any luck on my own. I hate buying second-hand vehicles because you just never know what's hiding where you can't see it. I was attracted to this dealer because of their somewhat misleading $1000 for a clunker sign. I wanted a newer second hand car with good gas mileage - they really didn't have much in my range. HOWEVER, Tyler Noye, the sales guy, was exceptional. Upon reflection I opted not to buy the first car he showed me - I gave him my reasons and my priorities because he showed active and authentic interest (which is a whole lot more than I got from most of the other second-hand car dealers I've dealt with in HRM over the past couple of weeks). Tyler searched their stock - across the province - to find the cars of my preference in my price range, and offered to bring whatever I wanted to see/test drive, to Halifax. Compare that to the guy who said "I don't know - check our website" (guess who's NOT going to get my business/referral!) And so Tyler got my business because he not only found me a car that was on my list but because he maintained contact without putting pressure on me. As for the deal itself - as good as I feel about Tyler, I feel somehow distrustful of O'Regans with their smoke and mirrors approach to structuring the deal - I prefer things to be straightforward. If you want an extra $189 from me, attach it to the selling price - don't tell me it is an 'admin fee'. That's bull. Yet, I believe overall it is a good deal - with a 6 month power train warranty, etc. Would I refer anybody there? Yes, so long as Tyler is there. I think as he gets more and more of a handle on the job he's going places - watch him. More

The folks were friendly, courteous and service oriented and provided me with a car over the weekend as they prepped our car. Although not wanting to finance the car, a price reduction was used as today's reality is dealerships are now salespeople for banks, however the paperwork was handled quickly. I generally despise the thought of purchasing a car, however this purchase went smooth and one of the reasons why I have chosen O'Regans over the last number of years is their sales approach. I feel I paid a reasonable price and got the car I was expecting and so far so good. All folks we dealt seem to be service oriented and sincere in providing quality service; glad to see in an industry not known for such. More
