I was in the market for a used Elantra Touring with a manual shift, not easy to find in Nova Scotia. I came across one at O,Regans and contacted the dealership via email as I lived 4 hours away. I asked a few questions and made an offer through Scott Low. I got the answers back I was looking for and made an appointment to check out the car. We arrived at the dealership and were looked after immediately by Russell May. Russell is a young, eager salesman who was polite, professional and best of all, not pushy. We checked out the car, an 09 Touring GL, which looked and drove like new. I couldn't believe this car was still on the lot. It was well appointed and driven minimally with only 38000 on the clock. We agreed on the price aranged with Scott and then I had a couple of requests. I needed it undercoated and required winter tires although the all seasons on the car were brand new. Russell and Codey pulled some strings and I got bumped up to get the undercoating done at a reduced rate, which was appreciated. Russell made arrangements to install a set of winter tires and the vehicle came back with new winter Toyos. Great tires at a very good price. Off hand I inquired about the maaintenance history and 15 minutes later Russell gave me the documented history of the car. It had been dealer serviced since day 1. All the work I requested was completed very quickly considering my last minute requests. I left the dealership completely satisfied and only after I returned back home did I realize what a great deal I got. The car and dealership experience both exceeded my expectations. From the moment I was approached on the lot, I was treated like gold. I felt comfortable and unpressured. I dealt with Keith for the most part. He was extremely understanding and in tune with my circumstances. The few times I had to go back to the dealership during the week, he would always greet me at the doors to ask me how I was and what I needed. When I was about to drive my new car off the lot, Keith told me not to hesitate to call or come in if I have any questions or concerns - which let me know it wasn't the commission he was focused on, but a satisfied customer. He should be a role model to the future employees at O'Regans. I also dealt with Codey who was also very understanding and friendly. He went out of his way to meet my needs. He was prompt and very helpful with answering questions I had. Codey clearly knows his stuff, and also has the customer service side of things in his pocket. I felt very relaxed when dealing with Codey. All in all, I would recommend O'Regans to anyone. I would also recommend they deal with Keith because of his all round friendliness. More

New to Canada with no credit history, buying a car could have been a challenge. We purchased 2 cars from him. A used PT Cruiser that our daughter will drive when she gets her license and a practically new Sonata. Our experience was so positive that we are planning to get 2 more vehicles as soon as we have established credit. I needed a car fairly quickly and had an idea of what I wanted, but I also had a budget that I wanted to keep within. I was opened to suggestions, asked many questions and I wanted to see all that was available, while respecting my budget. Not feeling the "love" with anything I saw and sat in, I started thinking back at the questions Keith had asked me earlier as to what i really wanted in a car. I quickly realized that I would have to exceed my budget. This allowed Keith to show me a different range of vehicles. That's when I saw "my" car. My husband could not be here with me, and it made me feel unconfortable making any decisions. That's when Keith suggested that he could email him a photo and specs of the car I was now very interested in. This permitted my shopping experience to be easier, since my husband was now part of it and could give input and have his questions answered on the spot, though he was not present. As everyone knows buying a car is extremely stressful. We met up with Keith and he was easy going and friendly. I test drove everything I had my eye on. I think I drove Keith nuts. I saw other cars at other locations and he was even kind enough to take me there. But I was so overwhelmed with what I really wanted. I went back on Saturday after taking one for the night and thought yes this is the one I wanted but after thinking about it again Saturday night it just wasn't the fit for me. I found another one from another lot that I liked more price wise. Thinking that all O'Regan's work together it wouldn't have been such a big deal, boy was I wrong. Because I chose this car which was less in price and from the lot beside them there was no negotiating in price or any extras and was told that I have to hurry up and make up my mind. Where I changed my mind I felt they weren't as friendly to go that extra mile as they were when we first talked about pricing for the more expensive car. I even had one person (not Keith) say to me well we really don't have to do anything for you considering you changed your mind. Last time I checked I was the customer and where no money had been exchanged yet didn't feel it was right of him to say anything negative to me. If it wasn't for Keith being kind to me and putting up with me changing my mind constantly I would have gotten up right there and walked away and never do business again with that location. But I did feel pressured that I had to make up my mind up on the spot by Keith. Buying a car is not a light matter and I wish I wouldn't have felt so pressured and cheated I guess. I do like my choice but it's hard to fully enjoy it when you feel that you should have gotten a better deal. The deals they were giving at the lot beside this one thought the same rules would apply to all and if I knew it didn't then I would not have bothered with them but by the time I found out it was too late the deal was made. I will never forget how I was made to feel at the end by these two people. After buying a car you should feel great and excited but because that was said to me I was more upset then excited and just wanted to get out of there and never deal with them again. Live and learn.
