Funny story, I actually had a appointment at another dealership and came to Northstar by mistake. To tell the truth I am so very happy that I did! With the awkward beginning out of the way Mark our sales rep transitioned that into an absolute great experience to which I can not say a bad thing about. Upgrading to a car that is pretty much a dream car is and should be a fun and exciting moment in your life. At Northstar everyone that i dealt with was great, very friendly and genuinely happy to help. Making this a all around fantastic experience. They were not pushy or overbearing like a lot of other place are. It felt like they were actually there to help get me into my new car and get exactly what i wanted. For that I thank all of you and i recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to a dealership and actually have an enjoyable time! More

We live four hours south of Northstar and when we went in to pick up the vehicle my wife and I were amazed with the reception we received. The dealership is clean, welcoming and very professional. We purchased through Lee Ewasiuk. Easy to deal with, accommodating. Financial and paperwork with Laurie Cottrell. First rate, personable and very knowledgeable. Stacey Nelson introduced herself and explained her viewpoint on customer service. Mark King introduced us to the vehicle with explanation of features. He synchronized our phones to the vehicle media system and made sure all accessories were as stated, ie floor mats. We have not had a more positive experience when purchasing and we would definitely return to deal with them again as well as recommend to others. More

The service agent assisted and directed me to the showroom floor where I met Ayesha. She answered all my questions and assisted me to find the right model for my needs. Ayesha went over and above preparing my vehicle for a test drive and helped me get acquainted with all the new and exciting features. Everyone from the manager to the financial agent were great to deal with, not once did I feel pressured to make any decision I wasn't prepared for. Great dealership all around. More

Prepaid Maintenance Packages This is a revised version of my review of Northstar Hyundai's service - or more specifically, their prepaid maintenance package (i.e. life time oil ch This is a revised version of my review of Northstar Hyundai's service - or more specifically, their prepaid maintenance package (i.e. life time oil changes). As background, after purchasing my Elantra, I also purchased Northstar's lifetime oil change package for $599. The salesman convinced me of the package’s value by calculating the cost of oil changes every 6000 km over the course of a 160,000 km car life. Essentially, that worked out to $22.50 per oil change. Skipping ahead, I later discovered that the Hyundai owner's manual recommends oil changes every 12,000 km - not 6000 km as per the service package. That suggests that my Elantra only needs half as many oil changes as the service package provides. Naturally, that decreases the effective value of the oil change package compared to servicing elsewhere at recommended frequencies. This is where my initial concern rested: if I changed oil less frequently (per the owner's manual) the oil change saving would not be as great as suggested when the package was being sold to me. Now, however, the tone of my review must change. I have since spoken with Northstar's service manager. As well, the company's General Sales Manager has called me to resolve the situation. It was explained that some people would consider driving in Edmonton as “severe conditions”. As such, more frequent oil changes are recommended. Additionally, some people still prefer the older "3000 mile" rule for oil changes, despite better new oils and engines. While I don't necessarily buy into the severe-condition rating, I was impressed at how genuinely concerned the General Sales Manager was to make things right. That means a lot to me. For me the bottom line follows: 1. I don't think that I would purchase a life-time oil change package providing changes at twice the frequency as the owner's manual. BUT 2. I am impressed with how important it seems to Northstar Hyundai to have satisfied customers. I am increasing the rating I previously gave this dealership and its service department. More

I was not in the market for a new vehicle, and my first experience with N I bought my 2nd Sante Fe after Ayesha made a call to me about 0% financing. I was not in the market for a new vehicle, and my first experience with Northstar was not a great one. Ayesha changed all that. She is friendly and knows her stuff. I never felt pressured into anything. After I bought she kept in touch and when another 0% financing came around I referred my Mom to her and again Ayesha was awesome. More
