Isolating the problem This review is specific to the service manager and assistant service manager. I took my truck in for repairs to the 4x4 system. Isolating the problem turned out to be extremely tricky. Multiple return visits were required. The service manager and assistant service manager went a LONG way to make an unpleasant journey less difficult. They really stood by the me...Not going into the details, but these two guys were exceptional in their customer service! Problem did get resolved, and the invoice was adjusted as well. Thanks to the service team! More
Transmission diagnostic After initially having a transmission replaced, the transmission failed due to a loose bolt in the bell housing part of the transmission case causing After initially having a transmission replaced, the transmission failed due to a loose bolt in the bell housing part of the transmission case causing a hole and leaking fluid as well damaging the torque converter. Although the issue could not be resolved and pointed to a potential manufacturer error (improperly installed bolts on flywheel assembly) the NorthStar Service staff did their best to work with me. Although in the end there was no warranty or recourse, the team reviewed the damage and was able to assist by not charging for the work to determine the root cause. Understandably, the dealer cannot support a call for a manufacturer error after 6 years (Vehicle is 2006 Focus). The team at NorthStar has always been helpful and supportive and have maintained both my Ranger and Focus for the past 4 years. More

Recommendations based on the mileage of my vehicle were discussed. The service work was completed in a very quick time and I was e-mailed the service summary before I picked my vehicle up. All in all, a great experience at Northstar Ford. More

Not thorough My new Ford F150 had an issue with the passenger door sensor. It sometimes stayed on, even when the door was closed. When I first mentioned this whil My new Ford F150 had an issue with the passenger door sensor. It sometimes stayed on, even when the door was closed. When I first mentioned this while bringing the car in for service, NS Ford told me they would look at it. When I came to collect my car at the end of the day, I asked about the problem and they simply said that they could see anything wrong and thus didn't do anything. There clearly was an issue so I asked them why they didn't call during the day to get further clarification from me. The receptionist had no answer for this. I then brought in the car for a second time and clearly showed them the problem before leaving. They now saw it firsthand and promised to look at it. At the end of the day, they indeed concluded something was wrong, and had to order parts. A month later, the parts had come in and I brought in the car for the 3rd time. It was supposed to be done in a day, but took two days in the end (I did get a rental car). Picked up the car the next day. Everything was supposedly working well I was told. The problem with the sensor light seems indeed fixed, but now the inside passenger door handle does not work! I will have to go back again (4th time) to get this fixed. This is very sloppy work and what could have taken 2 trips to the dealer, now will take 4. More
