Fan Speed Control Switch The speed control of the blower on my truck didn't work and when I brought the truck in for servicing they said it was typically the resistor that nee The speed control of the blower on my truck didn't work and when I brought the truck in for servicing they said it was typically the resistor that needed to be replaced. I had to pay $155 for them to investigate the problem and confirm what they already knew. I'm sure it was the first thing they checked since it was a common problem. Then I had to pay another $220 to replace the resistor. I don't mind paying for someone to investigate a problem that is unique or rare but I feel I shouldn't have to pay for someone to confirm what is already suspected. I would understand having to pay the $155 If the resistor wasn't the problem and the tech had to do additional work to identify the problem. More
Poor Planning on Their Part I was severely disappointed in my service with North Star Ford on Friday, June 8. We had to get our clutch repaired, and at the same time we booked in I was severely disappointed in my service with North Star Ford on Friday, June 8. We had to get our clutch repaired, and at the same time we booked in to get the Platinum detailing done. When we booked there was no indication that both of these services could be completed on one day. When we dropped off the car at 8 am on Friday, again nobody said this would be a challenge to complete both components of the service. My husband and I only have one car, so I walked for one hour from Montgomery to Silver Springs so my mother could drive me to the dealership - only to have them phone me at 4:30 to say my car's clutch had just been completed and they still had to do the detailing. They asked if I wanted to book in another date/time for detailing the car, to which I was extremely frustrated. If replacing a clutch + detailing takes 11 hours, why would you advise these could both be done in 9 hours? This was extremely poor planning on North Star Ford's part, and to compensate on their error I was offered only $50 off the detailing. Unacceptable. If you can't plan your servicing appropriately it's not my problem to get this done. Stay later to do the work you promised. We will be switching dealers to get our service done in the future as this dealership cannot appropriately plan their services and we pay the price as a customer. More
Lack of coordination. I dropped my truck three times only for one recall. First time I scheduled an appointment for the recall and dropped my truck in the morning, I calle I dropped my truck three times only for one recall. First time I scheduled an appointment for the recall and dropped my truck in the morning, I called them back in the afternoon to check the status, they told me they don't have the parts at that time and I have to schedule another time for the recall. After several days I got a message from Ford and told me parts already arrived I can drop the truck now. Then dropped the truck to shop again in the morning. Same i called them to check the status in the afternoon, they said sorry and they don't have parts in shop I have to come again. I don't understand if they didn't have parts why called me to drop the truck. The third time, they called me and said parts arrived. I scheduled a time and came again. When I came to shop they didn't find my appointment on their list. After a while they finally found my file in a draw and fixed the recall. More

Ended up being fine Fixed a silicone boot but blew off minutes after leaving the lot. Rear Hatch Repair Ford Escape Had to have my rear hatch fixed on my 2010 Ford Escape. It would not open anymore. I paid $189 for a diagnostic check then the total bill was $659. This was an expensive repair and had to pay it as I did not have a choice. I feel they should have waived the diagnostic charge since I had it repaired. Just wondering whether others have had the same problem. Should this be a recall? The service person was fine. I was able to get a ride home and back to pick up the vehicle, which was repaired early.
