Bad repair and bad customer service We took our 2010 Ford Escape in to get the rear windows hinge on the hatch back repaired. We had it taped up with duct tape to hold the window in place because the hinge let go two days before the appointment. After the repair was completed they called my wife and asked if she wanted them to clean off the tape and they would do if for anther 1/2 hour labour. She agreed. When she went to pick up the vehicle she paid and then went out and looked at the repair. The windows was badly, and I mean badly scratched to the point where there were deep gouges in the glass. She went back and talked to the service agent and he told her those were done with the plastic ice scrapper. She said that her husband (me) would be in contact with them because she did not see that as being possible. When she brought the vehicle home I freaked out when I saw it and immediately drove the vehicle back and spoke with the assistant service manager. He took some pictures. I told him that it was impossible for that to be done by an ice scrapper as they are plastic and made to be softer than glass (duh). I also told him that there must have been some thing on their workbench that may have scratched it during the repair process. He said that was not possible because they don't have a workbench!? Ok did they work on it on the ground and the cement floor scratched it? He said it was possible that detailing may have done it when they removed the tape. I left and he said he would call me one he had more information. We did not get a call back the next day so I called the assistant manager and left a message asking that the bring the vehicle back in an d replace the window. No call back. My wife then called the Manager of service and he said he would look into the issue. No call back. It has been a week now and this Ford Dealer is horrible. We are going to file a complaint to the better business bureau as these guys don't get it. I will never use this dealership again. More

I was the victim of a horrific hit and run on the Sunday night. I knew my car was written off so I spoke to Chris Sando and decided on a 2011 Explorer with 30 000 km on it. Told him I was SOLD turns out it was sold sometime between that Tuesday and Friday. He called me on Monday, September 30th to tell me it was gone. When I asked how it was sold when I said I would take it, (I was waiting for the write off $) I was told I never put a deposit down. I was NEVER asked for one and I was in constant contact with him DAILY, including the Friday after the Explorer was sold. He didn't take kindly to me pointing out his neglect and he said "I'm in the business of selling cars not holding them." That's when I hung up the phone. More

Called 15 dealerships in Alberta and no one but Northstar Ford has a NO REFUND POLICY!!! Stole 1000.00 from Me. More
Don't schedule appointment, if you don't have the part!!!! The service department scheduled an appointment so that I could get the left rear axle seal fixed. They had over 10 days to order the required part and failed to do so. It took them almost 3 hours after I dropped my Escape off before they called to tell me they weren't prepared and that the part was back ordered and would take up to 4 weeks to arrive. What a waste of my time! Poor service for sure! More

While I did not end up buying my ford vehicle from this dealership I would gladly send friends and family to Jack. When I had concerns and questions Jack wasn't able to answer his GM Greg stepped up and helped out and again showed a true drive for amazing customer satisfaction and resolved my concerns quickly and in a fashion that solidified my opinion of their shop. Having personally visited several other Ford dealerships in the Calgary North area I was very pleased with the treatment and respect Greg's team gave me. More

Where is it written that the dealership /service dept. can dictate how or when you drive your car! This is what they are telling me about it ---- "The electronics draws more of a charge from the battery and if it’s not charged fully on a regular basis it will drain the battery completely down. " Thus must be driven 30 km every two days to charge the battery. they should have disclose this when purchasing the vehicle! If they had I would have never bought the car in the first Place!!!! More
Extremely poor service I booked an appointment to have the brake pads replaced on my F150 and a regular service. When I picked it up, they hadn't done the brakes, they said I booked an appointment to have the brake pads replaced on my F150 and a regular service. When I picked it up, they hadn't done the brakes, they said they were too busy and booked me for the next week. They also charged me $70 to inspect the brakes, I never asked them to inspect them, just replace them. They told me they needed replaced on the previous visit. So I take it back again today, I had a 7:30 "appointment". I made sure I was first in line when their doors opened at 7:00. I called at 3:00 to see if it was finished, they hadn't even started on it. They were too busy again, too bad. More
