I recently purchased a 2024 Tuscon from Northland Hyundai. I have to say that I am so very happy with my purchase and the service I received was top notch. I started with the General Manager RJ who is an absolute gem of a man. He is kind and smart and definitely cares about his customers. My salesman, Ben, is funny, smart and efficient. He worked hard to find me the right vehicle and I am forever grateful to him! Finally, going into finance with Michael could not have been better. He discussed every single option with us and did not once push us to purchase anything we did not want. He definitely knows the product he sells and it felt really great to deal with someone who takes so much pride in the product. I do also have to say that every single person in the dealership was very friendly and helpful while we waited, and I 100% recommend Northland Hyundai to anyone looking for a new or new to them ride. More
I bought a Used as-is car. The dealership did an inspection on it...which showed nothing major with the car BUT....The dealership would not do anything else...they didn't detai The dealership did an inspection on it...which showed nothing major with the car BUT....The dealership would not do anything else...they didn't detail it, leaving a huge filthy car full of dirt and gravel..they refused to give me a Sirius free trial...and I felt like that was just lazy and shoddy way to do business because after all....Im still a customer...my money is real....and feeling excited and happy was marred by the lack of care they showed. In addition, it was a cash purchase with no real paperwork and on an as-is car they still charged me 799.00 documentation fee. I am happy with the car but I don't think I could recommend this dealership due to how little they did to make it a great buying experience and I doubt I would be motivated at all to recommend it. If they can't give you great service regardless of whether the car is as-is or new...then they shouldn't be in business....I should have walked away feeling 100% happy and like a valued customer...That did not happen!! I felt like a 2nd class customer because I bought an as-is car!! More
DON’T THROW AWAY YOUR MONEY! !!!! My wife took her 2013 Santa Fe in because the check engine light was flashing. It has only 137000 kms on it and had a new engine put in it ( !!!! It has only 137000 kms on it and had a new engine put in it (at 75000 kms) just before we bought it due to a factory recall. We were told that the codes coming up weren’t exactly telling them the problem so they changed the oil and the knock sensor (at our expense) hoping that would fix the problem. (The oil was just changed a month ago and the knock sensor in 2021.) Then we were told that the codes were still coming up and they had to get ahold of the engineering department In Ontario. After over a week of what the service advisor told us were apparently “wrong responses” from them, the service advisor told me that they were told to check a connection to the computer. After checking it he said that it was severely corroded and needed to be changed which would cost over $5000 and would take 8-10 weeks because parts needed to be ordered from Korea. He also told me that this may not fix the problem, and that it was all at our expense!!!!!! His exact analogy was: it’s was like going to a doctor with a tummy ache and if a prescription didn’t work then the doctor would send you to a specialist. We bought our HYUNDAI to a HYUNDAI SERVICE DEPARTMENT !!!!!! They’re supposed to be the specialists aren’t they?!?!? By this time we had lost any trust we had in this place. My wife picked it up on Saturday and used it - no engine light came on, nor did it act up. I took Saturday off work, rented a car hauler and drove up from Edmonton to trailer it home to Edmonton from Prince George so we could get a second opinion. We drove it all day on Sunday with no issues!!!!! We took it to our usual mechanic in Edmonton today to scan it and see what they could find, his phone call to me after going over it and test driving it for over a half hour we’re as follows: -no codes on scan nor is the engine light on. -no issues driving it. -no visible corrosion to wiring harness or ECM. -runs like a top like it always has and the issue was most likely a stuck fuel pressure regulator due to a small particle of possibly dirt or ice in the line. Good mechanics are problem solvers. Clearly the people working at this location either aren’t, or just don’t care. Don’t waste your money at a place that will just guess and cross their fingers at the customers expense. More
