His commitment & attention to meeting customer needs and wishes are the primary reason for coming to this dealership. His willingness to "go the extra mile" for his customer is the at the core of what I am looking for in a sales representative. Certainly product knowledge and willingness to work with the customer on making a deal work for all parties are other important attributes. Keith certainly warrants top grades in those areas as well. I was introduced to Darryl, one of the sales guys and felt comfortable with his level of knowledge when it came to the Corolla as well as other Toyota models. After the test drive, Darryl was able to answer all of my questions and took the time to go over all of the different packages that we're available to ensure I would be happy with my new Corolla. I was able to work out a great deal with Darryl and the new car manager that I was very happy with. I was very pleased with the entire process. More

If you are on the market for used car - stay away from these guys! All that scary stories you heard about no-name garages: fraudent ads, sneaky dissapearing fees, rude attitude once you sign deal... It's these guys! All that scary stories you heard about no-name garages: fraudent ads, sneaky dissapearing fees, rude attitude once you sign deal... It's all here, at CompToyota! You just look at the size of their dealership - only that should make you think twice. In short: ad was fraudent - said NO ACCIDENT but carproof showed one accident with damage for $3000, some DOCUMENTATION FEE in price calculations that miracly dissapeared from final bill, no service history, rude attitude once we told them about all these. We contacted ToyotaCanadaInc and informed them about our experience, but they said they can't intervene into done deals... STAY AWAY! Oh, and now they threaten us to go to the lawyer to remove this review. Here is full story. Due to various unrelated reasons we needed new car for my wife as soon as possible. So we found one that at CompToyota - lease return, no accident... First surprise was when we saw carproof report - car had accident with damage for over $3000. Oh well. We decided to test drive it since we were there already. Second surprise - check engine light was ON. But we got assured that it could be something simple like open gas cap code. After test drive we walked around the car, found couple scratches but were again reassured that all that stuff will be polished away. Then we started talking about the price. They gave us some pre-made form on which we could make an offer. It had extra line called DOCUMENTATION with price tag $404 plus taxes. We questioned it and were told that every dealer charges it and some charge even higher. We don't buy cars every week or every year, not even every five years, so we took their words as truth. We bargained $1500 discount from the final price - fair price for accident. I asked for some service records for the car - wanted to know if all oil changes were done at required intervals. They showed us copy of all work dealership did to the car after it was traded in but who said that due to privacy law they couldn't show history from last owner. "Even if you cut out the portion with last owner's name?"- asked my wife. "Even then"- was their reply. They reassured us that car was in great shape and they could sell it to wholesellers in the heart bit. So may be it was the moment we should back off... But we felt that discount of $1.500 from final price would be good enough to compensate for the accident. They added condition to fix CEL into Buying agreement, we signed it and paid deposit. Next day we got phone call - they told us that CEL was ON due to some fault with camshaft sensor and mechanic decided to replace camshaft bearing. They also informed previous owner about this costly repair (I didn't know that previous owner has responsibilities to pay for repairs AFTER trade-in). It looked strange that instead of replacing just the sensor they decided to take apart half of the engine to change bearings. This fact made us thinking about extra warranty. So we contacted ToyotaCanadaInc - to inquire about powertrain warranty that we have left. And TCI pointed RIGHT AWAY that this car has one outstanding campaign. We were told NOTHING about it at Competition Toyota. That fact changed our mind about ExtendedCarePlan. At the end we decided to take 3 years/60.000 km comprehensive package. Also we checked Buying agreement and didn't find ANY documentation fee listed in there. That was strange. So we came to pick up the car. We went around the car - scratches were still there... were told they did everything they could. Then we wanted to talk about documentation fee. Manager said that it was tire warranty. "But we didn't buy it?!" - was our natural response. "Of course you didn't, I removed it from last quote. Do you want to buy it?" - was his response. He showed us last quote and sure enough it wasn't there. And because we were looking at total price and didn't go by each line, we missed it. We just didn't expect such sneaky trick from Toyota dealership! "But nobody told us it's tire warranty, we were told it's documentation fee!" - we said. "Well, I'll talk to salesguy and make sure he knows it. You wanted to lower final price - I did it." - was his simple reply. "Do you want to buy it now?" But that wasn't the point! The point was they tricked us! So now we realized that we got just $1.000 discount for the car that was in accident and just had half of the engine taken apart. So we asked manager to pay portion of the price for ECP. That's when things got nasty. He said something like: "That's enough guys, I'm fed up. You chose to buy this car, you had enough time to back away, but you decided to buy it. I don't want to talk any more. Deal is done. Let's just sign papers, get keys". And looked like he wanted to add: and get out of here. It took my wife couple minutes just to ask him to listen to her. She explained that there were couple dishonest moves on his part and we made our decision based on that lie. He kept asking if we wanted to buy tire insurance. And we tried to tell him that it's not the point, the point is they lied to us. But he simply said that deal is closed and he's not paying for anything. So we paid for ECP and got some expensive hope that car will last as long as our old 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan with 295.000km... We didn't see any paperwork for repairs they did to fix that CEL so I don't know if they even replaced sensor or just reset the code. They might did everything like he said but now I just can't trust them. We got tricked the same way people get tricked at no-name dealerships - fraudulent ad to lure client, sneaky disappearing fees to inflate the final price... Rude attitude once deal was done... I saw couple negative reviews at google about them but thought that it would never happen to me... Like I said - we don't buy cars every year, so we don't know what should we be prepared for. Plus big Toyota sign over the building gave us sense of confidence... STAY AWAY! END More

Very soon after we purchased our gently used Civic, the battery was dying repeatedly. We sent it to the local guy we use (we're not near the dealership) where it was eventually determined it was a loose p battery was dying repeatedly. We sent it to the local guy we use (we're not near the dealership) where it was eventually determined it was a loose power door switch that was draining the battery. Narrowing down the electrical issue took some time. This was an issue that was pre-existing (the switch was loose at the time of purchase but we didn't think anything of it). I called the dealership, eventually speaking to Matt Armstrong, Sales Manager. He promised me it was covered under a manufacturer recall. I said I couldn't find any recall info for it, but he assured me it was and would get back to me, as it would be completely covered. I called repeatedly and after him delaying and dodging, he finally said he was wrong and it is not on recall. He said he'd look into reimbursement for the repair, and again I had to call REPEATEDLY and put up with the ducking, dodging, and "I'll get back to you in a few days". This literally went on for months. Eventually Matt Armstrong said they would pay for the cost. He even asked if I wanted to pick up a cheque or have it sent by courier. I said courier. It said it would go in the mail on Monday. I called back again after a week and a half, and he now said that we weren't being given anything. I filed a complaint with the BBB, where Matt claimed these conversations didn't take place and I was lying. I am absolutely furious with Competition Toyota for leading me on for several months then calling me a liar. Do not give your money to these crooks. More
My visit here for the first time was a good experience. It did not take long for me to get the answers I was looking. The price is really good for the quality of automobiles. It did not take long for me to get the answers I was looking. The price is really good for the quality of automobiles. More
