Bought a 2020 Rav4 in Apr '24 from North Bay Toyota and made an appointment for May '25 for the first oil change. Took the day off work to drive from Sudbury and upon arrival was told by the service desk t made an appointment for May '25 for the first oil change. Took the day off work to drive from Sudbury and upon arrival was told by the service desk there was no record of an appointment and there weren't enough kilometers on the vehicle to warrant an oil change. After returning home, I sent an email to the general service email account, and copied Peter Kalmo, the service manager, attaching the confirmation email of the appointment and the surprise of an unnecessary day off work and trip. I received no reply, acknowledgement, expression of concern or thanks for the feedback. This week (Sep '25), I had a 2 p.m. scheduled oil change/service and was told it would take approx. 1 1/2 hrs. While waiting, I watched vehicles being washed before being returned to customers. At 4:20 p.m., the service rep advised me the rear brakes and rotors should be replaced and that they could be done before closing at 5 p.m. at an added cost of $750. I had already been waiting for almost 2 1/2 hrs, so advised I would have the brakes done later. At 4:45 p.m. service was complete. I asked if they would wash my vehicle as they had done for prior customers and was told the washing bay was closed. I don't know the reasons for the lack of consideration or complacent view towards customers, but after having only two experiences with the service department and both being unpleasant, I won't return for a third. Expressing my disappointment to the service manager will be disregarded, so instead, I'm posting this review. More
