This dealership does not honour verbal agreements. My best friend's mother-in-law was about to return a leased vehicle that I was interested in purchasing. I contacted Robert Rubin, a New Roads Mazda Sales Rep, and made him an offer. I was completely upfront with him and said that I had two options: 1) I could contact the lessee (whom I have known for 30 years. I was their only daughter's best man for her wedding) and ask them to purchase the vehicle for the buy out. I would then purchase the SUV from them, incurring the taxes twice. 2) I offered Robert $1,000 to allow the lessee to return the SUV to them, and then NR Mazda signs it over to me for the buy out price. NR Mazda would also get the profit from doing the safety. This would less headache for the lessee, NR Mazda makes a grand plus safety, and I only pay taxes once. Everyone wins! Robert agreed, and told me to send my DL to them for the paperwork. I reconfirmed that we had a firm deal, and he reconfirmed it was a firm deal, and told me the buyout price that I would have to pay to the penny. Robert contacted me to say that he was going on vacation, and to follow up with the GM, Curtis Biggs to process the paperwork. Curtis waited until the vehicle was returned, then told me that he would not sell it to me for the buy out, but he would give me first right of refusal once he had it evaluated for "market price". The original buy out price was $15,223. Curtis offered me a "market price" of $19,341, plus $1,000, plus safety costing $1,770. Curtis's main point justifying his decision to not give it to me at the original price was that the lessee was not aware that I was going to buy the vehicle from NR Mazda. So what? Obviously they would not. I was talking to their son in law. I made an agreement with NR Mazda in order to not require the involvement of the lessee and to make it the least headache possible for them. There was no need to involve them if NR Mazda upheld their end of the agreement. I do not recommend that you deal with businesses that 1) renege on agreements, and 2) wait until your other options expire before telling you that they are not upholding their end of an agreement. Never compromise on what you just find out or feel towards. ♨️ Careful about the mileage on your car; it may be test driven even after you put a deposit on it. ♨️ Careful about the paints and the coatings of the car. ♨️ Careful about the compromise you are going to make. ❤️ my review if it is helpful to you and help others to avoid being betrayed and cheated What I had: ⭐️ Promised 100km mileage on the car, written on the terms 🔥 Notified 300km 1 day before delivery 🔥 Told this is common because of the inventory shortage 🔥 Lectured on any car under 300km can be sold as brand new car 🔥 Told reporting to OMVIC would avail me nothing ⭐️ Promised a new car 🔥 Notified a deep scratch 1 day before delivery 🔥 Told this is common before delivery 🔥 It's just going to cost you a day or two 🔥 Still 100% new, still prestine What I felt: First conversation was about why you are compelled to accept this car as a new car and you feelings about this car does not matter because you are buying it. It is very likely that this car kept being driven after the deposit was placed, otherwise it wouldn't go from 100km to 300km in a week for delivery. I decided to back out of the deal because I would never get what I wanted, but was threatened loosing the deposit and further extra charges if I don't make a compromise. I was promised to be reach out to in a few minutes if they can purchase another same car from other local dealers. But I wasted another day with them. Lots of promises are given, none of them were as promised. I will fight back to get my deposit back, not going to be held accountable for their mistakes, their lies, their false promises, the time they costed me, the awful feelings they gave me, and the threats I have been experiencing. It's unfair to be disregarded in the promise land, filled with false hope and disillusionment. I don't care what it takes to fight back and voice out, even if I need to hold a placard at the curb with a voice amplifier. More

Great car, bought for my wife to replace her subaru, the sales experierence was great this time, walked out trying to buy a used car 2 yrs earlier. The issue I have is with service and the constant up sel sales experierence was great this time, walked out trying to buy a used car 2 yrs earlier. The issue I have is with service and the constant up selling, my wife went for regular scheduled service, they tried to talk her into "maintenace service" @ $450.00, fast forward to 20k service and now the car needs front brakes to the tune of $1000.00, had we done the "maintenance service" quote "they might have been able to go to bat for us" to have the brakes covered under warranty, no such luck now. Since when do brakes only last less than 20k km? They typically last 50k minimum and I have a 2017 jetta that still has it factory brakes at 104k km. Be very carefull when having any service done at this dealership, i/we will NEVER ever go back there for service. More
