I purchased my jeep at MacIver dodge a few weeks ago and love my new vehicle. I purchased it used through Mike Gregor. This was my third vehicle purchased but my first through a dealer. I was very happy wit love my new vehicle. I purchased it used through Mike Gregor. This was my third vehicle purchased but my first through a dealer. I was very happy with mike as a salesman, the vehicle was ready both times I went for a test drive and he was very helpful in answering any questions (even when he was off the clock, which was really appreciated!) he made the negotiations easy and explained everything very well, as well as answering my long list of questions. There was also never any pressure, he knew if I wanted the vehicle I'd buy it, so it was a more relaxed experience. Also he always responded to my calls/ emails very quickly, and never makes you feel like you're causing him any inconvenience. He's also very accomodating when it comes to times to meet up with him or to test drive the vehicle. Very nice guy and would highly recommend you talk to him if you're in the market for a used vehicle. Also the lady I spoke to in finance, I believe it was Kathleen(?) was very nice and helpful. I was only a bit disappointed in the quality of the 'detail' or cleaning that the truck had been given. It looked as if someone only spent minutes inside cleaning it. Not very thorough. Its just small stuff and hey no ones perfect, but its a new vehicle to the buyer and everyone wants it to look its best off the lot. No fault of my salesperson. Would still go back and purchase another vehicle from mike in a heartbeat, and have already recommended him to others. Overall a happy customer, and I've got an awesome vehicle! More
I had a horrible customer service experience upon bringing my vehicle in for servicing. The manager was unpleasant and treated me like it was "my problem" that my vehicle was having starter issues. A bringing my vehicle in for servicing. The manager was unpleasant and treated me like it was "my problem" that my vehicle was having starter issues. After having it checked and given a quote for the work, I had questioned a similar part recall notice. I was told to "Google my van's problem instead" and "if a t.v. remote wasn't working to turn on a t.v., wouldn't I just fix it!". Needless to say, both those replies from the Service Manager wasn't exactly professional in assisting me with my actual vehicle's problem. I picked up my keys and took it to the Chrysler dealership down the street. I don't ever plan on returning with my business when I'm treated poorly. More
Hard to express how refreshing it has been dealing with Maciver dodge. I've been having trouble with my current vehicle and I was prepared to write it off. This was based on my experience at some other dea Maciver dodge. I've been having trouble with my current vehicle and I was prepared to write it off. This was based on my experience at some other dealers in Barrie, North York and Aurora. This was not my experience at Maciver Dodge. Instead of directing me to their sales guys, John Maciver directed me to their service centre where they suggested some small repairs that extended the life of my car signficantly. Recently, I was looking to buy new and I had been to the dealership a few times. I love the selection and how accommodating the sales staff are. They were not satisfied with selling me a car that I don't absolutely love. Sometimes, I felt like they were even talking me out of deals. So after months of indeciseveness, and advice from the dealership to take my time, I got a call from John. He said, "Your car just came in." He knew exactly what I was looking for, and he was right, but before handing me the keys he took the time to go over every detail with me, ensuring there would be no surprises. By virtue of the faith they put in their customers, I sincerely believe that Maciver Dodge understands that my best interests are their best interests. I wish every success to them and any other dealers that operate like they do. More
I had the pleasure recently of purchasing my 1st Chrysler product in over 20 years at Maciver Dodge Jeep. Once I decided that a Dodge Ram was the truck I wanted, the 1st step I took was to go to the Ram webs product in over 20 years at Maciver Dodge Jeep. Once I decided that a Dodge Ram was the truck I wanted, the 1st step I took was to go to the Ram website to review and select the vehicle/options. I then forwarded this to Three differnet dealers that were preferred and committed that the 1st dealer to respond would get my business. This may seem crazy to most but in my opinion really it's pretty simple--- the 1st to respond in any business transaction is generally the one who wants the business most. Dale Dever from Maciver responded to my email within 1 hours and to date the other two dealers have not responded. I won't bore you with the details of my purchase. However I'm happy to say that my experience with Maciver Dodge was the most friendly, knowedgeable and professional experience I've had in purchasing a vehicle. So visit the folks at Maciver, you won't be dissapointed. Best Regards, John Thompson More
My husband and unfortunately did not purchase our vehicle from this dealership. Lack of research on our part. We did have service done here, after we found out (the hard way), the dealership we purchased f from this dealership. Lack of research on our part. We did have service done here, after we found out (the hard way), the dealership we purchased from was untrustworthy and did not value their customers. Maciver was GREAT to deal with, friendly and quick. They took care of the problems we had with the van, as well as problems we were unaware of (there was a manufacturer recall on the something, that was just released that day, the van needed a safety something done, there was no charge to us, as it was a recall, so they just went ahead and did it.) I felt extremely taken care of NOT taken advantage of, like some dealerships do ... Sadly, we purchased our Van from AURORA CHRYSLER and have had NOTHING but terrible experiences with them. We bought a year old van and there has been some problems with it. Within the first week we had the van back for some work, which would not have been a problem, but it was like pulling teeth to get them to give us a loan car, after we had traded our car in for the van. Their customer service is terrible, all they care about is selling the car to you. Maybe they do not realize that REPEAT sales are what will keep them in business. Our van was missing the cover for our USB port when we first saw it, we asked the sales man about it, he ASSURED us that it would be there when we picked up the van, as well as the van would have a FULL CLEANING! When we arrived to pick up the van, the usb cover was still missing, we were told it had been ordered, but we needed to wait a week or so, when we had to take the van back in for its repair (one week later), we pointed out how DIRTY it was. Spilled pop in the cup holders, dirt on the back of the drivers seat, food crumbs, etc. The sales man came out with a dirty rag and quickly wiped it down. I understand that this was not a new vehicle, and I did not expect it to be perfect, but it was new to us, and we were excited about it, until Aurora Chrysler really made it feel used! WEEKS went by, 4 or 5, and we still had not received the usb cover (I understand it is a very little piece, and does not at all affect the drivability of the van), I called and spoke to the sales man, he had NO IDEA who I was, or what I was talking about until I spelled my name 3 times! Then he said, oh yes, it has been ordered and it will be here in 3 weeks! But its not going to fit properly, because they dont make that piece anymore. It is an eye sore, having an open USB port, that CLEARLY is supposed to have a cover. A small issue, but another issue none the less. It has been almost a year, about 8 months, and our check engine light came on. It had been on for a couple of days, we tried tightening the gas cap, running the engine to empty and refilling, and checking all the caps, nothing fixed it, so we called Aurora Chrysler, they told us to just keep driving around for another week and maybe it will fix itself. It didn't. I called back, they said they could get us in Friday (it was Tuesday) and that it would take around 2 hours, so we would have to leave it there. That is very difficult when you have a baby who needs their carseat! Then they let me know that I would have to wait for the part, if one was needed, and then bring the van back for a couple of days later and probably pay around $105.00 to plug the van in, if the problem was not covered by the warranty. I called MacIver Dodge in Newmarket, they were so helpful and polite and got me in right away, I waited 1/2 hour and they had figured out my problem, and had a solution for me! MacIver is only 15 minutes north of Aurora Chrysler, GO THERE! More
