Great Honda service today for a minor recall on my 2019 Ridgeline - just a fix for the hood latch. Clearly important for highway and back-road driving to keep the hood latched. Called in at the temporar Ridgeline - just a fix for the hood latch. Clearly important for highway and back-road driving to keep the hood latched. Called in at the temporary offices near the to-be-rebuilt-expanded Nanaimo Honda centre with the Recall Notice in hand. Service Advisor Kelly Daun took quick action to my drop-in, sourced the part, and in no time the latch re-inforcing plate was installed. Not only that but I received a car wash token too. Great service and personable people - no wonder they are expanding their facilities. Thanks. V More
I would be very cautious about the serviced3pt of this dealership. My neighbor, a recent widow and long term customer of Nanaimo Honda had a warning light and took the car to the dealership. She didn't re dealership. My neighbor, a recent widow and long term customer of Nanaimo Honda had a warning light and took the car to the dealership. She didn't realize it but the warning was simply a low tire pressure warning. Taking it to them she left with $722 repair bill and further recommendation for new tires ~$1000 and $1500 timing belt replacement. This is a 2018 Accura with about 40,000km. The repairs were oil change @$160, Brake clean, brake fluid change, rotate tires, adjust brake dust shield. The car had been sitting for a bit since her husband passed away the minor rust that resulted was used as an excuse to rack up this bill. On top of this she was warned about the tires and timing belt that she shouldn't risk driving the car until the tires were changed and timing belt replaced. The next day the car would not start. She called them and asked if they had done something that would be the cause. They told her no and suggested she have the car towed to them. I found that the battery terminal was loose. They denied taking any terminal off until pressed where the mechanic admitted he had and didn't tighten the terminal. This all reads to me as if they were using predatory pra tires to take advantage of a niece female customer..shame on them. More
