I was travelling on Bishop Grandin at Waverley when I slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warn slowly started losing speed going from 70 down to 0. Stepping on the gas did nothing. When I reached 30 mph I started getting a message with the warning alarms going crazy alerting me that I had a "Hybrid System Failure".( The gas engine would not cut in. ) ...I was fortunate to be able to pull over three lanes with the other drivers seeing my hazards on and letting me move over. The vehicle was still running but I couldn't move and the hybrid battery system graphics on the info screen showed it being completely depleted. The Murray Hyundai dealership took it for test drives and did not have a problem. I have a Case No from Hyundai Canada and still no response from the dealership to solve the problem. More
Worst customer service have ever dealt with. Never returned a single phone call. I have had engine problems with an Elantra I purchased from the dealership in 2013. I have left messages, even Never returned a single phone call. I have had engine problems with an Elantra I purchased from the dealership in 2013. I have left messages, even their own staff have sent an email to their service department to call me back & discuss options for me. I have not received one call back. Absolutely 100% done with them. Will be taking my business elsewhere. More
I've been to every Hyundai location in the city, and Murray Hyundai was the only one that gave me greasy/sketchy car salesman vibes. The salesman Amun was not honest or ethical whatsoever and attempted to grossly overcharge me for a vehicle. When I asked about the price he quoted and why it was so much higher than anywhere else in the city, he informed me that the price included a mandatory $2000 Murray accessory package that couldn't be removed from the total price. And actually, at first he made it sound like he was generously throwing in all these accessories for free until I twisted the actual truth out of him (a herculean task). Part of his whole sales shtick was showing us how reliable Hyundai was compared to other brands in an older report. When we asked to see reports for other years (including a more recent one), Hyundai was ranked much lower on reliability. He was just cherrypicking results instead of being honest and upfront. I told him to give me his best offer, because if I walked out the door I wouldn't be coming back, and the offer was an insult to my intelligence. Yes, they are very polite but don't make the mistake of conflating that with trustworthiness. It was like watching a smarmy robot attempt to build rapport after watching a single YouTube video on building rapport. If you do have the desperate misfortune of needing to go to this dealership in particular for some reason, do TONS of research first, and ask LOTS of questions about the exact breakdown of the price, and go to the other Hyundai locations first to know what the price actually is before dealing with these slimies. I would not trust anything they say about the condition of a used vehicle either, given the lack of transparency while discussing a new vehicle. I would strongly recommend that you do not leave your critical thinking hat at the door or you'll be taken advantage of. My impression after my experience here is that their philosophy is to put an extra $100 in their pocket on a single transaction rather than giving a fair deal and making a lifelong customer out of someone. For me personally, I'd rather wait 8 months to order something new through another dealership than ever deal with Murray Hyundai again, and I would advise you to stay away too. The only positive thing I can say is that they have a cute dog there, and I'm sorry that adorable baby angel has to bear witness to the sleaziest deals all day. More
Richard Eccleston, Josh Doria and Murray Hyundai are thieves. They charged me for a two-day car rental, when we only had the car for one, and won't refund the over-charge. Customer Service was gre thieves. They charged me for a two-day car rental, when we only had the car for one, and won't refund the over-charge. Customer Service was great, until the Warranty expires, then no one wants to help. Great way to retain customers guys! Perhaps another Hyundai dealership would be happy to have our business. The amount may be small, but it's the principle of it all. I'm not the first, and probably won't be the last! Don't go to Murray Hyundai! They're rude and insulted my wife on numerous occasions, by basically laughing at her. More
The initial buying experience was great. However when it was time for the actual purchase price, we had to buy an additional $4500 package. What a joke. This included a $3000 ceramic coat However when it was time for the actual purchase price, we had to buy an additional $4500 package. What a joke. This included a $3000 ceramic coating. We didn’t want the ceramic coating. I called around for a price for a small suv, the ceramic coating to a gold star package is $1500 with a business who only does this and protective film. Regardless they wouldn’t sell the car without it. Complete rip off but after waiting 7 months had no choice but to pay for it. When we picked up the car it still had shipping tape on the corner of the door! Great attention to detail, ceramic coating guy. Fast fwd 6 weeks and when I shoe service and state if this is still on, I doubt the ceramic coating went on. As when I wash it the water doesn’t bead and run off the suv. There response was ceramic coating doesn’t repel water!! Only makes it easier to remove dirt. This is right from the manager! Since when? Ceramic coating makes the surface hydrophobic, which repels water!! Worst’s experience ever at this dealer. Don’t deal with them. Go elsewhere, learn from our mistake. Mark More

The Guarantee had the sales managers name, and an invitation to purchase, with no haggle. After a short test drive of a 2023 Sant Fe Calligraphy we were advised that The Sales Manager told our salesperson that he would not honor the invitation to purchase, even though it had his name and authorization on it. They wanted several thousand dollars more! We went to another Hyundai dealer that day and bought the same vehicle. More

twice cheated out of warranty, once when all 4 tires split when having tire and rim warranty..apparently not covered (not sure what has to happen to get warranty when all 4 tires split) I was told by on split when having tire and rim warranty..apparently not covered (not sure what has to happen to get warranty when all 4 tires split) I was told by one of the salesmen that tires should be replaced after 40,000 KM...sigh....and the other when my turbo was affected and given the impression that it would be replaced...nothing in the end.
