Very inflexible in negotiating pricing yet no problem with giving me a low value for my vehicle. I don't have a problem with a dealership making a profit but it's a different story to insult the intelligence of their customers More

$1000 in extra fees We went in to look at a used vehicle and negotiate a deal, only to find another $1000 in extra fees which was never disclosed in advance. The sale We went in to look at a used vehicle and negotiate a deal, only to find another $1000 in extra fees which was never disclosed in advance. The sales person lacked personalism. Lied that the car had undergone a recent price reduction - clearly incorrect when looking at auto-trader history. He also wasn't upfront on fees when asked. More

I bought my car from them brand new and it is still under warranty. When my hood wouldn't open after pulling on the hood release, I took my car to them. I told them it should be under warranty, but they said they would have to look at it. After having my car for the entire day, they deemed the damage was to the hood release mechanism inside the car and it was not warrantable due to an after market car starter I had installed. They wrote on the form that it was broken due to "misuse". How you "misuse" a hood release bracket is unknown to me. I had been opening and closing my hood regularly for oil changes, oil checks, to fill fluids etc one and a half years after the installation of the car starter. Well that argument fell on deaf ears. They then told me I needed to pay $65 because they looked at it and $18 for the "broken" part. I argued with them over the $65 because this is a warranty claim and I should not have to pay this. I did get them to take that off (after 90 minutes of sitting and waiting for them to "talk to the guy that looked at my car. ) After all that, I paid the $18 for them to order the part. It has been 10 days and no call from them yet. My fiancé just had a look at the car (he is incredibly mechanically inclined) and detemined the part Murray claimed was broken is NOT broken, it is the hood release at the front of the hood. So now I have a part coming in that I don't need. Needless to say, I will never deal with them again, and never purchase a car from them again. I love my Hyundai, but I despise that dealership. More
www.muI bought a 2012 Santa FE from Murray Hyundai last August and I continued to use their service department for my oil changes. I thought, seeing as they had sold me the vehicle, they would have a ves August and I continued to use their service department for my oil changes. I thought, seeing as they had sold me the vehicle, they would have a vested interest in making sure I had good follow-up service. A while ago I noticed it was leaking antifreeze. When I called the service department in the morning I was told they could not get me in to look at it for 10 days. When I mentioned I had bought the vehicle from them, that it was under warranty and that I was concerned because of the nature of the problem, I was told I could leave my vehicle with them and they would look at it if and when they got the opportunity but there were no guarantees it would be sooner than the 10 days. When I expressed I was disappointed in their inability, or unwillingness, to help me, I was told perhaps I should look at taking it to a different dealership. I took the advice of the woman in the service department and made an appointment with a different dealership. Not only did they squeeze me in two days later, but when I phoned them back near the end of the day because the situation had gotten worse and my truck was starting to overheat, they switched things around so they could take a look at it the next day. Considering the truck is under warranty and I purchased it from Murray Hyundai, I expected more from them. But when push came to shove, and I had a real problem, they were not there for me. I understand that they are busy, but if they are too busy to help me when there is a problem, they are too busy for me to consider dealing with in the future. At this point if someone should ask me if I could recommend Murray Hyundai, I would pass on the advice I got from their service department – perhaps they should try a different dealership.
