I came in for a transmission leak on my 2016 tuscon First let me say that I am extremely happy with the service I received from Danny and the other service writers at the dealership. However, I am very First let me say that I am extremely happy with the service I received from Danny and the other service writers at the dealership. However, I am very dissatisfied with Hyundai head office and how they handled my problem. I will out line my complete experience and why I was un-happy. It began when I discovered an oil leak around my transmission housing on the bottom end of the transmission. I am a licensed mechanic and had the vehicle on a hoist when I noticed it. I immediately contacted Hyundai and spoke with Danny, who was very helpful and sympathetic to my issues. It should be noted that I told Danny at the time of the first appointment that my family was going on a road trip of more than 500k in about 20 days and I was deeply concerned about the leak and how the vehicle would perform on the mountain roads. Danny booked me in immediately for the next day to have the leak looked at. After dropping the car off for the day, it should be noted at this point that my wife uses this vehicle for work and whenever we have to leave it at the dealership, she is forced to re-arrange her schedule to accommodate not having a vehicle to visit her clients. Danny later called me that day and said that they noted the leak but were unsure what was going to be done to fix it and that we could come and pick up our vehicle. I was told that Hyundai head office would have to be contacted to make a decision. After the weekend, I was told that I needed to bring my car in again so that a different technician could inspect it. So again, we dropped off the car for the day and my wife re-arranged her schedule again. After this inspection I was told that there would be some research done on whether or not it was a seal, or a part that needed to be replaced or if the transmission had to be replaced. After a couple more days of waiting i was asked to drop off the car again so someone else could have a look (i believe it was a technician from another location). so once again we dropped the car off for the day and re-arranged our day. This time they decided to put a florescent dye into the transmission fluid and check the fluid level. I was then told to take it on my road trip and have it inspected when i return. This made me very angry. I explained to Danny that I had seen the fluid coming out from inside the bell housing of the transmission and that it must have been from something internally which means that it must be removed and that I wanted the transmission replaced because it was obviously defective. Danny was very good at assuring me he was doing everything in his power to make that happen but his "hands were tied" because the higher ups wanted to inspect further. It was now the week of our trip, which we were leaving for in 5 days. Monday of that week I put the vehicle back up onto my hoist and inspected for the dye that was installed a couple days earlier. I saw a large amount of the dye leaking out and I decided that the fluid was leaking too fast for us to take it on a road trip and feel safe driving it. I called Danny again and he asked me to bring it in so they could see the dye. It was then they decided that they would replaced the transmission that week and that they could have it done by Friday. I told them that I was very UN-happy, that I now had to get the transmission replaced only a day before we left on our trip and even though i was happy that it was finally getting done, I was un-happy about how long it took. To sum up the entire experience; We had to bring our vehicle in a total of 5 times. I had to repeatedly voice my concerns about how long the process was taking and how UN-happy i was, only to have our lives re-arranged multiple times to accommodate 3 different people to check out the car before a decision was made. I may be a little off on a few of the details but this is how I remember it to be. I would like to compensated some how for our lost time. I would like to be contacted by a representative to discuss the whole situation and how Hyundai as a company can make it up to us and keep us as a future customer. More

excellent experience with dealer I had been toying with buying a Hyundai Kona for a few months. The sales rep was extremely patient with me and finally were were able to negotiate a deal close to what I wanted. So far, I love the car and look forward to driving the winter with it. I previously had a Santa Fe that I was very happy with it, so hopefully the Kona will also be trouble free. I purchased the extended warranty so feel confident I dont have to worry about surprises down the road. My wife has an Accent and she has been more than happy with the vehicle. More
