Multiple bad experiences Years ago, I gave the Murray Chrysler side a chance but ended up walking out of the sales office after asking the salesman to inquire with his manager Years ago, I gave the Murray Chrysler side a chance but ended up walking out of the sales office after asking the salesman to inquire with his manager on the best price for the vehicle we looked at, and the salesman wanted me to shake hands on the deal before he even went to ask about the best price... Fast forward half a decade and I thought I would give the Murray Chev dealer a try. Initially the salesman was very nice and accommodating, but when it came time to compete on price with other dealer offers, I was met with condescending texts and insinuation that I was lying about the offers. Seeing as how I am now driving in my brand new vehicle from one of said other dealers, I guess I wasn't lying! Their loss, which will have a domino effect. What's more, I have since heard several other people share similar stories about their experience at this same dealer, and even this same salesman. Do yourself a favour and spare the slap-in-the-face trade-in "offer" they will give you, as well as the egotistical trip from the staff in your prospective purchase, and go to a real dealership that actually gives a xxxx and doesn't have a monopoly in the city it resides. Never again, Murray. More
Salesmen Lied Before Purchase Of Vehicle In 2016 I purchased a Cadillac CTS from salesmen Murray at Murray Chevrolet. I drive from Winnipeg to Brandon, a day and night there and back with my girlfriend to bring back the vehicle that I set out to purchase. When reading the advertisement online the vehicle was stated to be in great condition. The vehicle has been good since I purchased it. I did research before buying his vehicle, it is the # 4 of # 10 top choice of midsize luxury sedans. What I wasn't told, was that there was clear coat paint peeling on the front bumper and the hood. Significant peeling on the front bumper. Which concentrated me, this is a 6 year old vehicle. I have seen older vehicles with their paint intact. After inspecting the vehicle from head to toe I mentioned to Murray that there were paint defects. He assured me that it was a PAINT PROTECTION FILM. A film overtop of the clear coat, paint and primer that protects the paint to extend the lifetime of the paint on the vehicle. What I figured out after the purchase was that it was actually the CLEARCOAT peeling off of the bumper, hood and fenders of the vehicle. A costly repair and not a pretty sight on an expensive Cadillac. I had some work done to the vehicle, to extend the lifetime of the vehicle and take good care of it at a local autobody shop. I mentioned the paint defects and the professional assured me that it was in fact the clearcoat peeling. When I mentioned this to the dealership and the salesmen they offered to pay a few hundred towards the expensive bill. Something that I feel they should cover since I was not informed of the defect and actually lied to at the time of purchase. Did I mention that I paid the full sticker price for the vehicle? Unsatisfied. I will find a solution to this problem whether or not it inconviences them, as they have inconvienienced me. More
Straight forward, honest and cared to do the right thing. During a warranty repair, some damage had been done to my vehicle by the tech. The damage wasn't noticed until I got home. I was worried about the response from the dealer when I went back, however, they apologized immensely and said they would make it right. I was even invited back while it was apart to make sure everything was ok. Great job Gary and team in the body shop. Owning mistakes is often where businesses fall apart. More
