Maintenance required for preventable issues After purchasing a new 2015 Grand Caravan SXT, we were required to take the vehicle in during the first month for weather stripping issues that were c After purchasing a new 2015 Grand Caravan SXT, we were required to take the vehicle in during the first month for weather stripping issues that were causing serious noise issues. While a minor issue from a repair perspective, it is something that should have been detected during routine QA assessments. This situation preceded a more serious one wherein the vehicle, after another month, suddenly had the engine fail, while under power, on a major freeway off-ramp. This situation, had it occurred in busy driving conditions, could have caused an accident and resulted in injuries. The sudden, unexplained failure of a vehicle's engine, within a 2 month time frame of purchase, represents a serious issue. More
