save yourself a headache and look elsewhere for service I brought my vehicle in for regular scheduled service two times to Midtown Ford. Nothing fancy, tire rotation and oil and filter change. Every time when I scheduled the appointment I made a point to advise the dealership I wanted the vehicle back as soon as it was done. I then dropped off the vehicle the night before my scheduled service to have it queued into service first and ready to go asap. On each occasion when I called the service line around 01:00 p.m. the following day to check up on the service progress, assuming it was completed I was told it had not been even looked at yet. The last service appointment was the exact same scenario except they called me back about 02:30 p.m. and said a part was required that was not in stock and that they might not be able to get the part and have it installed by the days end. If you dont look at a vehicle until the end of the work day there is a very good chance that if there is an issue it wont be repaired. I brought this concern about scheduled appointments forward to the service manager and sales manager. The Company response was there was no way to schedule a vehicle in for service at a specific time and every service appointment made was well known as a "all day" appointment @ Midtown Ford. Well, I just returned from my scheduled appointment @ Capitol Ford. Two hours twenty minutes from drop off to payment including an additional service diagnosed as required and attended to but not on the service request. The vehicle was brought in promptly at the arranged appointment time and serviced quickly and efficiently. Thank you Midtown Ford for consistently providing such extremely poor service prompting me to find a GREAT alternative. More

Friendly sales personnel do their best to make you feel welcome and appreciated, running back and forth to a "boss" to get the deal "approved" is a standard tactic employed by many dealerships and it is no different at this dealership. The finance team was also friendly and accommodating. After the sale has been made however; be prepared for more of the stereotypical 'used car salesman' treatment, as opposed to the 'you are a valued customer' treatment. The service department is busy and the drop in oil change service is preempted by, among other things, "winter tire change" season making it hit and miss in terms of convenience. Standard issues with vehicles are dealt with promptly and courteously, as expected from a mature dealership with a large customer base; however that isn't what makes a dealership excel in my opinion. It is their approach to more complicated issues regarding customer satisfaction and respect that really defines their success and earns a recommendation. Difficult issues with vehicles appear to be met with the classic car dealership two-step: the problem with your vehicle is not our fault, and regardless of your customer relationship with us we are not obligated to help you. I was both surprised and extremely disappointed to discover this, especially considering the fact that we encountered only one such issue in all the vehicle purchases at this dealership, we had expected a more considerate and respectful response. The precedent set by this lone experience is enough to discourage me from recommending this dealership, especially in light of the fact that the poor response came from upper management. If you shop at this dealership, expect an average sales experience, an average routine service experience and an unacceptable non-routine service experience. More

We received excellent service throughout and were given time to discuss without someone breathing down our back for the sale. We were not pressured into buying the vehicle and were made to feel very comfortable that the purchase we had made was the right one. We were given three different quotes for our trade in and requested several quotes with and without extended warranty, all of which came back promptly. I really thought shopping for a vehicle with a 7 month old baby would have been such a headache however, the quick service made it so easy. Diane in finance was probably the best finance employee I have ever dealt with anywhere (banks, car dealerships etc.). She laid all the information out for us and explained it in detail and even provided us with information that no other car dealership had ever given. We would definitely recommend mid-town ford to our family and friends. More
