Dear Sir, Thank you for your feedback on your service experience. We appreciate all comments and use them to improve our practices. My apologies that your service visit did not meet your expectations. Our Service Manager has reached out to you by e-mail to address your concerns. He has not received a reply from you as of this date. I'll reiterate his explanation to you. The written labour quote on the job was 8.2 hours which included a provision (.7 hours) for removal of rusty or stripped bolts. In regard to the parts - for this job, flywheel assembly replacement, our service department uses only the original equipment manufacturer part . The aftermarket part is cheaper , $85.00 vs $402.00. The issue with the aftermarket part is that it is prone to cracking and subsequent failure. The OEM (Ford) part is covered across Canada for 2 years and covers the 7+ hour labour time as well. If the aftermarket part fails within 90 days, the part will be replaced but the customer is responsible for the substantial labour component of the job. We feel this is an unacceptable risk to place on our customers. Please be assured that we strive for our customers to be completely satisfied and you can expect calls to be promptly returned and your vehicle looked at in a timely manner. Please contact myself if you would like to discuss this matter further with a view to resolve this to your satisfaction. Yours truly, Lance Fridfinnson General Manager Mid-Town Ford Winnipeg 204-284-7650

My aftermarket Flexplate was installed and I was given a written one year parts and labour warranty. notably more than the 90 days as you suggest. A Provision of .7 hours for the removal of stripped bolts is not something that would be deleted later, of course the bolts will be "stripped", that way you can charge the .7 hours (for 10 min of work) and sell me new bolts. You and your manager referenced a written quote, which I did not receive as I was dealing over the phone, nor was one include with he invoice for my diagnostic which it should have been. so there is yet another example of the poor service I have received. I have not responded as the email did not address any issues, just told me why I was wrong. I should not be made to feel like I am inconveniencing you by having my truck serviced. I ran the estimate myself (Mitchell) and had a 6.2 hour estimate. I don't have a skid plate so no need to add the.5 for it's removal. so I struggle to find the extra 2 hours the Ford experts estimate to complete the job. When people are treated fairly some additional service charges can be ignored, but paying more for the privilege of being mistreated is not acceptable. I had my truck repaired in less time then it took you to return my phone call.

Dear Sir, Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry you are unhappy with my explanation. I will share your comments with our service department Mid-Town Ford participates in the DealerRater Certified Dealer Program. We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at their dealership. I invite you to call me if you would like me to take any action to conclude this matter. Respectfully, Lance Fridfinnson Mid-Town Ford 204-284-7650

From: Reg Wiebe [mailto:Reg.Wiebe@midtown-ford.com] Sent: Friday, November 21, 2014 3:33 PM To: 'carps60@yahoo.com' Subject: compassion Hello, very sorry to hear of your experience at our Service Department. Not that it’s an excuse but would like to offer we have as many other repair facilities been inundated with the MPI Winter Tire Program. This has overwhelmed the Service Department and as a result delayed our ability’s to get our customers back in their vehicles in a timely manner. The technicians that do the tires area also the ones performing the oil changes for our customers. I agree we should certainly should have demonstrated more compassion with you upon your picking up your vehicle. If there is something I can do to compensate for the time lost I would be happy to hear from you. Kind Regards
