The deal. After corresponding online I met up with Scott to take the Mercedes I had researched extensively for a test drive. I precluded my drive by stating to Scott that I absolutely HATE shopping for a vehicle and hate car salesman; I'd rather go shopping for shoes or an engagement ring. As you can imagine, Scott was taken aback, as anyone would be yet handled his response with grace and finess by essentially letting the vehicle speak for itself. Scott sent me on the drive without issue (he did not join us... a deal breaker for me) and when I returned was very care-free (not pushy) offering to provide me with more info and some financing numbers if I wished? I really had no intention of purchasing the vehicle I drove (B200) as it was the most expensive in the province... although in pristine condition, with very low mileage, and had been purchased from the same dealership. Scott had already run the numbers and showed me his deal vs. all others online (Autotrader) in comparison (a smart move). I was surprised at the financing Mercedes in-house was able to offer which made me pause for thought and reconsider the deal. I left Scott having had a very positive experience to tour the other dealerships I'd marked to test drive their vehicles. By the end of the week after touring many lots on my way home from London to the French River; I realized the deal in London was my best bet for a dependable, quality vehicle. Emailed Scott and follow-up electronically ensued... the sale/purchase of the vehicle seamless and stress free. Scott arranged for the vehicle to be delivered to my front door... a 5.5hr drive... by his two drivers (wonderful fellas); paperwork complete, done deal. I'm a changed man... from a fella who HATED shopping for a car to one who actually enjoyed the experience and will not hesitate to give Scott a call again in the future for my next vehicle(s)... provided the service remains the same at the closes dealer to my home... Sudbury, Ontario. That being said, should I encounter any problems with the vehicle or service; I'm confident a call to Scott will get the ball rolling to ensure I'm a happy Mercedes owner (my first). Thank you Scott for making 'the dreaded shopping for cars experience' so pleasant and effortless on my part. First Benz, but it won't be my last I came into the dealership looking to replace an aging SUV. I could not ask for a better purchasing experience. Mike Robinson took me on a test drive in a vehicle that met some, but not all, of my needs. I told him what I liked and didn't like about the car. Within the week, Mike called me to let me know a 2011 C300 had come through the door. I drove it, loved it, and bought it shortly thereafter. I'm writing this not because I am happy with the purchase (I am) but because Mike is head and shoulders above the field. The day I was out looking at vehicles, I had the opportunity to visit a number of dealerships. With Mike, there was no "What do I have to do to put you in this car today?". He genuinely cares about putting you into a car that is a good fit for you. He is easy going and there was no hard selling. It was a refreshing change and it ultimately was a deciding factor in choosing a brand. The dealership is lucky to have him. More
