Brian Hobson located the vehicle I wanted at another dealership, got it over for me and had it ready when expected. A great deal on a fantastic looking vehicle. Paul was very professional and straight to the point. I bought my new dodge charges 2014 through him in 60 minutes. He gave me a long and detailed orientation session about all the options. bought my new dodge charges 2014 through him in 60 minutes. 2010 Ford Fusion. First Ford I've ever owned, purchased used from a dealer in Brampton Feb 2011. Service engine light came on at 60,400 km. Bumper to bumber warranty expires at 60,000km. Took to Meadowv used from a dealer in Brampton Feb 2011. Service engine light came on at 60,400 km. Bumper to bumber warranty expires at 60,000km. Took to Meadowvale Ford because they are local. Was my second visit to this dealer (major scheduled maintenance conducted here earlier the same month - cost me $430+tax) Service advisor (Santino) very polite and professional. He told me there was discretion on km overage but needed Service Manager approval. Left my contact info for service manager but did not receive a call. I followed up 2 days later (on a Friday) but Service Manager not available, booked an appt for Mon morn and parked the car for the weekend. Finally met Service Manager on the Monday (Drew) but he would not budge. Discussed the matter standing in the service lobby in front of other customers, would not offer me a seat in his office (we were 2 steps away from it). He claimed he had no discretion whatsoever and was bound by Ford Canada. Told me he wasn't willing to bend because I didn't purchase from his dealership and I did not have an adequate service history with them. Claimed to need to take pics of odometer for the service record and send them to Ford and he didn't want to get into trouble with head office. Insisted that I would have to pay for any diagnostic and repair. After some persistance on my part he agreed to hook it up to the computer, and ran a diagnostic out in the parking lot. Produced a code but was inconclusive. Told me he needed to perform a smoke test that costs $200+ and any repairs would be extra. After more fruitless pleading with him, he gave me Ford Canada customer service number. In short, they didn't budge either, siding with the dealer. I really don't get this... my first Ford, therefore no possible chance of having any service history or ability to build a relationship with dealership. Only 400km over warranty, with a potential major repair and not an inch of consideration to back their product. I've since taken care of the issue through some personal connections - no thanks to Drew at Meadowvale, no thanks to Ford. The car is up for sale. This is the last Ford I will ever own. More
