After they sold the vehicle to someone else they called him to tell him. No explanation no apologies ?.... I ask how can they run a business treating people this way? Needless to say we shall never recommend or return to Richmond Hill Mazda. More
Good but not Great, Get everything in writing The Sales guy (Mark) was very nice and friendly. We did not have to go back and forth too much for negotiation. We got the color we wanted though after a little wait but he kept us posted on the status. However, it was surprising that he forgot some of the things we had very clearly negotiated while making the deal. For instance: We were able to negotiate for licensing fee (provided there is no pending offence) and front liners. However when the invoice was presented the liners were missing. Thank god we had it written that front liners should be included in the final price. When I went to take delivery, the finance manager asked me for licensing fee and was not willing to forgo it despite we stating that it was part of the negotiated deal. He was just not willing to accept what we were saying and insisted that we pay the fee. I was about to pay to avoid the argument and that moment I saw the paper in their file on which we saw his managers writing clearly stating that licensing was included in the price. He had no other option but to let go. We were also made to wait a long time on the delivery date though we reached the showroom right on time. I did not like that they doubted their customers and that too for a small licensing fee. My suggestion to anyone making a purchase is to get each and every small or big thing in writing so that dealers cannot renege on their promise. More

Mazda of Richmond Hill... Avoid, not trustworthy First of all, I will start this review off by saying it is going to be a bit long, but if you truly want to know about this dealership and how they ru First of all, I will start this review off by saying it is going to be a bit long, but if you truly want to know about this dealership and how they run things before you go in and try and buy anything, I would implore you to read this, as it might change your outlook on Mazda of Richmond Hill. My wife and I wanted to purchase a new Mazda CX-5 2017 AWD, and went to MofRH and were dealing with a sales agent Parnaz and her manager Andrew. Parnaz had called me a month earlier about a promotion that they were having, as I am a previous Mazda owner (2014 Mazda 3 GS). We set up a day to go in (May 1) so my wife could test drive the CX-5, and talk about pricing with Parnaz, so I brought my brother in to help us make a decision. Before going in, my brother called Mazda of Whitby and inquired about a new 2017 CX-5, and they told him there were no more 2017 versions left in Ontario, and that they could not sell him any. He then called MofRH and talked to the new sales manager Gautam who told him that he would have loved to sell him a 2017 CX-5 but that there were none left like the other dealership had informed him. We went in any way to meet with Parnaz, she told us there was a few left in either Gray or Red which we thought was a lucky break. We test drove the CX-5, loved it, and began to negotiate. After going back and forth with Parnaz and her manager Andrew, we finally set on a cash price of $33,000 flat all in for everything, signed the contract and was told that the car was on a train somewhere and would take 2 weeks to arrive. I still have the contract where it says, and I quote "SALES FINAL Please review the entire contract, including all attached statements, before signing. This contract is final and BINDING once you have signed it unless the motor vehicle dealer has failed to comply with certain legal obligations". We put down $5000 on AMEX and left happy. Two days later Parnaz calls me, tells me they made a "mistake" that the car they thought they could sell me was now a demo, that there were NO MORE 2017s new left in Ontario like we were told that day by Whitby and Gautam, and that we had 3 choices, get our money back, pay $2000 to ship one from Newfoundland (which they said was black but lied about the colour as it was red, and lied how much it would cost to ship it, as I found out from someone else at Mazda) or pay $2000 for the exact same vehicle but the 2018 version. I was dealing with Gautam now who never once apologized, had the audacity to tell me he was only making a few hundred dollars now because of this "great" deal and that it was my problem and he did not care. Basically looking back now we see this as an attempted bait and switch, Parnaz and Andrew both knew there were no new 2017 CX-5s left, but they figured we would just give in after already signing a contract and just pay the $2000 more so they could get a sale. This dealership is as shady as it gets, they have 0 morals, do not care what they have to do to make a sale. The contract clearly states that the sale is BINDING, and all Gautam told me was he did not care, that to take this other deal or basically go F myself. I know for a fact that if I tried to get out of the contract myself because I changed my mind there would have been a steep penalty, and I would have been out of luck. Please avoid this dealership if you can, they cannot be trusted, and if you want a Mazda, go to another dealership, one where you will get treated much, much better than the way MofRH treats people.
