Then I saw Derek Magennis on the Marv Jones website and sent him an email. I got a response very quickly and late that night we made arrangement to come in and see him the next afternoon what was to be his day off. My wife & I bought a new Fit & Civic and couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience. I highly recommend this Dealership and Derek if you're looking to buy a new car. More
Horrible Service Department I bought a new Honda at Marv Jones Honda Maple Ridge and brought the car in for its first service. All that was required of them was a simple oil change. I leave my car there for the oil change and get a phone call from them about an hour later saying they have had an accident with my car. When a real mechanic does an oil change there are three safety factors one puts into place. Have the car in park, put on the emergency brake and put a block behind a tire. You only need to do one of these factors to be safe but apparently this is beyond Marv Jones Honda. Its very insulting to be in there show room with all these awards of service excellence plastered all over the walls, when they cant even do an oil change without having a customers car roll back into a pole. Then they sent me a service notice that my locks may freeze in the winter not allowing them to work properly so I should bring the car in for the fix to be done. It was a hot June day when I brought my car in with all the door locks working perfectly. When I picked up my car after they did the lock modification half the locks no longer worked on my car. Lots more apologise and leave your car with us some more and will fix it. LOL anyway needless to say I drive my car a much further distance and get my cars routine and warranty maintenance done at a real Car repair place. More

I have never had one single problem ever with them and the service department has always been more than fair and very very honest with costs of service and repairs. Gerrard our last sales person was fair, very knowledgeable and not pushy at all, very nice gentleman. I don't know how many more Hondas I will be buying but I know where I will purchase them fore sure. Not many people can say they have dealt with the same car dealership for 40 years and honestly never had a problem, but I sure can. Thanks Marv Jones staff for 40 yrs of honesty and still counting. Overpriced and a fake attitude First of all, I can only comment on Derek, one of the salesmen whom i dealt with. 'Super friendly' and comes across as really chill and easy going. Bu First of all, I can only comment on Derek, one of the salesmen whom i dealt with. 'Super friendly' and comes across as really chill and easy going. But beneath that superificial attitude is in fact an impatient, pushy salesperson who could care less about the customer. I've met genuine salesmen and Derek certainly isn't one. Amazing how he gets all these raving reviews. In fact it was because of the raving reviews that I went down to Marv Jones honda. Well, all that changed when I was negotiating on their highly marked price on a used civic and also when they were low balling me immensely on my trade-in. It took me a while to figure out all their calculations but it sure didn't help with Derek's insistance on why i couldn't understand their numbers and his constant pressure on what i wanted out of it. The initial sugar-coated words turned into impatience and over bearing behaviour. Quite the difference in attitude as compared to when i first walked in. That sort of behaviour only got compounded with their ridiculous prices they were quoting me. Obviously i walked out and found a much better deal elsewhere. Got $3000 more for my trade in elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks Derek. If you had a little bit more of a genuine attitude, i might have considered working more with you. Work on that customer service a little more and you might actually deserve your best salesman award. I don't normally write negative reviews and in fact i try to write constructive ones but your treatment of me as a customer was much to be desired. Bottomline: Work on that sales attitude of yours and people might be able to justify your prices. More

Both car drove very smooth, the Jetta with 1.8L Turbo has more power and seems less road noise. The Honda Civic's fuel rating, the colorful instrument panel and the salesman's slight encouragement made me to choose the Honda Civic over the Jetta and I was wondering for a couple of days whether I have made a right choice. Took the car to downtown Vancouver from Maple Ridge and back the next day, and I was a little uncertain about the fuel economy as the fuel gauge was down by about 4 little squares. Drove to Seattle and wanted to test the fuel economy of my new car, on the way back to Maple Ridge from Seattle, I filled up the gas at exit #199 of I-5 and again at exit #275 into Blaine for a total of 76 miles. I was very happy to see that the gas used was only 1.55 US gallons and said to myself that I did made the right choice. Also, my fear about the smaller car's stability on the Highway was totally erased as my Civic was so smooth and stable, no problem at all. Since my new car is in the break-in period, I didn't want to push it too hard and have my cruise control set at 99 km/hr. More
Upon watching a CBC/Marketplace show on consumer rip offs about a product called Globali that disreputable car dealerships sneak on to consumers invoices as a non optional product. Well it turns out these gu about a product called Globali that disreputable car dealerships sneak on to consumers invoices as a non optional product. Well it turns out these guys snuck it on mine. They did not explain what it was and more importantly that it is an optional item. I told them point blank staight out that I dont want a single optional item on my invoice. When I went to iscuss this with them they agreed that the Globali product is a complete scam and that they dont carry it anymore. I said great you dont want it, you snuck it on my invoice and I dont want it so can you please refund me my money. They dont only not give me a refund but then start into a whole meriad of lies. Telling me that they didnt sell me Globali even though my invoice clearly says Globali $399.Marv Jones Honda is now stating that it was for PDI, Freight and magic air in my tires ( nitrogen )Total rip off and now taking them to court e69856 More
I got a great deal on a used honda civic si, i was told that the battery was changed and the tires were new. 6 days into owning it, i noticed headlight was out, dealership did nothing. I just found out t that the battery was changed and the tires were new. 6 days into owning it, i noticed headlight was out, dealership did nothing. I just found out that alternator is bad and needs changing. The battery they put in was merely a bandaid. It was the cheapest Canadian tire battery out there. The tires were nothing special either. For a honda dealership you would expect genuine honda parts, not cheap band aids used to mask other problems. report never indicated alternator was not charging properly.. I would recommend getting an independent car service to check any car coming out if this dealership. Other than that, business office was the best i have experienced. Thank you, and buyer beware More
I have only good things to say about my experience, salesman Mark was great and the rest of the buying process with Kelley and the insurance rep was very good, as was Derek, who filled in because Mark salesman Mark was great and the rest of the buying process with Kelley and the insurance rep was very good, as was Derek, who filled in because Mark could not be available when I picked up my car.. The only hitch in my experience was that when I came in for my appointment, and spoke to the receptionist and was told to take a seat. I then waited 25 minutes and had decided to leave when Derek noticed and spoke to me. He was very apologetic as he had not been told I was there. Receptionist "forgot." While I am willing to accept that mistakes happen, there was another man also waiting in the reception area with me for a lengthy period. Since , as far as I know, this is the receptionist's main function, I felt this did not make a very good impression of the dealership.I have given a good rating because everything else went smoothly. Mark went out of his way to make me feel comfortable and allow me time to make my decision without pressure. His discussion with me when I was feeling unsure and the information he gave me was definitely the reason that I decided to buy the Fit, over a competitors car that was somewhat cheaper and had a few more features like heated seats.
