I scheduled my recall on my X1 and thought it would take 3-4 hrs based on what a lady who said that it would take that long while the letter said it would be only 1 hour or so? I purchased 2014 BMW X3 from Maranello and since it was s certified series i also purchased the unlimited 4 year Platinum Warranty for an extra over $4K, as they indicated that it would cover everything like certified series i also purchased the unlimited 4 year Platinum Warranty for an extra over $4K, as they indicated that it would cover everything like new car warranty does. A few months ago my passenger Tail light on the lift gate failed. I took the car in to Maranello and paid the inspection fee of $169 only to have them tell me that this is not covered under warranty. Sent an email to BMW Canada to have them tell me that this can only be resolved through the dealer that i purchased the vehicle from. Contacted the customer service Manager and was informed that there is nothing they can do as this is not covered by a platinum warranty which was supposed to cover everything including electrical. Very disappointed in BMW Canada and Maranello for selling me a warranty and not honoring it for something so little. This is the 3rd BMW i have owned and will be my last as this incident has left a bad taste in my mouth. More
