After an agreement was signed, they tried to change and increase the price of the add ons, on the original agreement signed the walk away is included in the purchase price, then was later on no longer incl increase the price of the add ons, on the original agreement signed the walk away is included in the purchase price, then was later on no longer included and was charged a fee, I have been asked 2 two times by Curtis Gindli if I want it and I declined it 2 two times but was still included and later charged. within 13 days of purchase of the Lexus NX 350 sport , it already overheated, I asked Curtis how many owners had this car had before me he never replied to my emails. It seems they have deceptive practices in this dealership. More
I have bought many vehicles from this dealership but no longer! The last vehicle I bought was a GX. I paid much extra for the overland edition and I was told it would come with automatic lowering running b longer! The last vehicle I bought was a GX. I paid much extra for the overland edition and I was told it would come with automatic lowering running boards….it didn’t. It was a feature I needed for a family member with mobility issues. All I got was. Oh, sorry. THEY asked me if I could pay with a credit card and when I made arrangements to do so they then said no. They were trying to get the sale completed before the end of the month to get their Lexis bonus. They said they would send me a Lexus jacket which they never did. I constantly get phone messages on a weekly basis to bring my car in for service despite blocking their number! Super annoying! They treat you well during purchase but unless you are buying another vehicle you are nobody! Many other dealerships around and my next purchase will be elsewhere! Rather sad because Lexus is one of the best vehicles out there. More
Don’t trust anything that they tell you verbally. Read your contract carefully before you sign it.They tell you something and put something else on your contract. They said they were charging me the Read your contract carefully before you sign it.They tell you something and put something else on your contract. They said they were charging me the car thefts tag for $250 but put $872 on the contract that I found out later when I got home.On top of that I had to cancel my contract because they disclosed some issues exactly on the day of closing that I wasn’t aware of and didn’t want that car and lost my deposit. We are very frustrated with the service at Lexus Richmond Hill. This experience was very disappointing. After picking up our car from service at Lexus of Richmond Hill, it immediately started making a lon Hill. This experience was very disappointing. After picking up our car from service at Lexus of Richmond Hill, it immediately started making a long, annoying sound when opening the trunk or any door. This problem did not exist before the service. We called multiple times, left voicemail messages, and even contacted other departments, but no one managed to connect us to the service department or return our calls. We expected much better service quality and communication. More
******Lease Buyout and Safety Inspection troubles****** I originally gave Richmond Hill Lexus a 5 star review when I purchased my RX 350 in 2022. Unfortunately, I am now changing that to troubles****** I originally gave Richmond Hill Lexus a 5 star review when I purchased my RX 350 in 2022. Unfortunately, I am now changing that to a 1 star rating due to my recent experience with their service department during the lease buyout process. As part of the buyout, I was told the safety inspection had to be completed at Richmond Hill Lexus. However, Ontario regulations state that any DriveON licensed inspection station (including independent mechanics) can issue a Safety Standards Certificate — there is no requirement to use the dealership. Despite this, I complied and booked an inspection on November 19. After the inspection, service advisor Brandon Wong claimed the front and rear brake pads and rotors needed replacement (approx. $2,200 + tax) and that the front window tints exceeded the legal limit. My mechanic later confirmed the brakes were good for at least 20,000 km, but since the safety had already failed, I replaced them. The tint installer confirmed the tint was 30% and legal, but I removed it anyway to comply. I returned for a second inspection on November 26, expecting the buyout to be finalized. Instead, service advisor Calvin Choi informed me that the front and rear caliper piston boots now required replacement at an additional $1,600. This was never mentioned during the first inspection, and it is hard to believe such failures occurred within a week and only 500 km of driving. I escalated the issue to Lexus Canada, who redirected me back to the dealership. The service manager, Patricia Graham, responded with a generic explanation about inspections being based on the vehicle’s “current condition.” When I challenged the inconsistency, she never replied. This raises serious concerns about transparency and fairness. I cannot help but feel penalized for not performing the repairs at their shop. Other dealerships, such as Ajax Lexus, allow customers to provide a safety certificate from any licensed inspection center — Richmond Hill Lexus does not. On top of the questionable inspection process, I had to drive 90 minutes each way twice, taking time off work, and spent $500 in inspection fees, plus the stress and inconvenience. In the end, the finance team agreed to accept a safety certificate from an external center, proving the dealership’s duplicity in handling the buyout. This experience has been costly, frustrating, and deeply disappointing. For anyone planning a lease buyout, I recommend staying far away from Richmond Hill Lexus, part of the WEINs group. More
