Worn out Brakes! (at 40% pad life) In the beginning of November I took my car in to the dealership for a routine oil change and there were a couple things that were suggested to be done In the beginning of November I took my car in to the dealership for a routine oil change and there were a couple things that were suggested to be done Number 1 was the timing belt was due for a service. No big deal That is an important repair, Number 2 was that my rear brakes were measuring at 2mm and needed to be changed ASAP. The quote i got was for $451.29. Now because of the timing belt and brakes i wasn't able to do them all at once, or even at the dealership. I took the timing belt repair elsewhere and saved money and i did the rear brakes myself with the assistance of a journeymen automotive mechanic. My problem lies in the fact that when we removed the rear tires to start the brake repair, the journeyman did a quick inspection and noted that the pads were still at 40% life. Keep in mind i did the brakes 2 days ago. So 7000 km after the initial 2mm inspection my brakes still have 40% I ended up changing them anyways as i had the parts, but what if i would have paid the $450 and got new brake when my pads were still at 40% I do not appreciate being lied to in order to drum up more work for your shop. I will not be bringing my car back for anything other than oil changes More

Excellent service We purchased a new Golf Sport wagon ,we went to many dealers as make and model did not matter to much just a fuel efficient vehicle.We ended up in VW We purchased a new Golf Sport wagon ,we went to many dealers as make and model did not matter to much just a fuel efficient vehicle.We ended up in VW .I have had many VW over the years and do like their quality ,obviously recently they have had issues in the press,all car manufacturers are no different .VW got caught thats all.Make aside we where made very comfortable and the additions to the vehicle with winter tires was a bargain .Mark Sereda was our salesman he was extremely helpful and polite and took us in many test drives as to establish what vehicle we like so he answered many questions on Jetta ,Golf ,Sport wagon etc .I would highly recommend Mark ,in my opinion one of the best car salesman I have known,a credit to VW.I do not like pushy dealers and they were certainly not.Plenty of coffee was made available and a very good offer on our old vehicle was made available.Thanks once again and we will certainly buy VW from them again. More
