This dealership was once a Saturn dealership that I have dealt with since 1990. Some of the same people are there but the Saturn philosophy is not. My latest Saturn 2008 Aura XE is in excellent condition dealt with since 1990. Some of the same people are there but the Saturn philosophy is not. My latest Saturn 2008 Aura XE is in excellent condition with less than 37,000 KM. I really had no intent to buy a new car but I received a printed letter and email to visit the dealership for a KIA 2013 Early Arrivals event, because they WANT my car. Good trade in values with 0% financing and no payment for 90 days. I had heard many promising things about KIA so I thought, why not take a look. I don't need a new car but I would like a new car. I test drove the RIO 4 Door and the Optima. The Optima was a great car but too much car for what I need. Getting the RIO was more in line with how frequently I drive - public transit more to work now. While discussing the Sedan I fell in love with the RIO 5. I ended up purchasing it that Saturday. I was told they had 4 cars in stock at other dealers. Now I had initially looked at a KIA 4 door sedan but I liked the look of the RIO 5. There was some confusion on the order that I was purchasing a 2012, which I wasn't, and that ended up with me having to fight for the 0% because they said it was 0.9%. I did get 2013 for 0% event, which cost the dealership some $700 as apparently even though Wayne told me that 0% applied, it didn't for the RIO 5. I think that caused them to stall in the end. I was supposed to get a call on Tuesday to confirm but on Thursday my wife received a call from Wayne saying they had a problem locating the car - would I be interested in the sedan? My wife said no but you would have to call me. She then called me at work to let me know. I waited an hour and no call, so phoned the dealership. Wayne gave me the story that the car they wanted for me in Blue was gone. I told him RIO 5 was the only car I was interested in and tore him a new one, as I had since found out that the trade in allowance of $7000 was about $1000 or so on the cheap. The 2008 Aura was worth private as much as 10-14K with low km. My bad for not researching properly before hand. I now was told they found a black one ... no I would like the Blue or the Red was my preferred choice. They had one up north but to drive it down would add 300 odd km on the clock. Note: They had initially offered this prior and it would cost me $500 transport, but they were going to right that off now. I said I would prefer to order a new Red one - but ok I'll take the 300 added km one if you toss in the floor mats. Can't do that we're loosing money on this because we wrote of the $700. Really when you are making a killing on the trade in. Oh we can't sell them (Saturns). Then why are you marketting to get my car?! I tore him another. I told him I was in no hurry, that I wish I hadn't started this. Order a new red one or I'll get the up north car for floor mats. Ok we can do that. I have to confirm this with the sales manager. I received a msg on my voicemail 2 hrs later that they are waiting for confirmation on the red car in and there MAY be another coming in (to the dealer) 2-3 weeks. Oh jeeze I go to the dealership because at this point what with the runaround and the trade in allowance I felt I was getting short end and being ripped off. I was very annoyed. The sales manager now informed me they couldn't get the red car from up north so were trying to get another in transit. More misinformaion from Wayne. I said I wanted to walk away, save us all alot of time. My deposit of $2500 was returned and I made a lucky escape. The whole endeavor was a nightmare from start to finish. I felt like I was never getting a straight answer. I seriously doubt I will deal with this dealership again for repairs or puchase. More
