You can trust Frontier Subaru! I spoke with Mrs. Thompson (GM) about a couple of issues I had and she was very helpful in resolving them. I would buy from them again. You cannot trust the service department. In May 2016, I brought my 2014 Subaru Forester in to have a front strut checked. Within minutes of leaving the dealership, the vehicle started to make noise. When I arrived home I immediately called the Service Advisor. He told me that when a strut is examined, the gas could leak out of the strut and make noise, but he told me it was safe to drive. When I took the vehicle back a week later for the strut replacement, I was told all the wheels were loose and driving it damaged the wheel bearing. It was an additional cost of $567.00 to repair it. I spoke to Tom, the Acting Service Manager, he was rigid and uncooperative. He made an antagonistic comment saying "you are accusing us of sabotaging your vehicle". I spoke to the General Manager who offered me a free oil change. I won't be taking it in for a free oil change because I do not trust this Service Department. I spoke to the President of the Jim Pattison Group in Vancouver. He was also very rigid and claimed the dealership did not loosen the wheels. He sounded like a bully, and while I was on the phone with him, a woman was on the line saying they support his decision to not reimburse us for the additional cost of the damaged wheel bearing. My vehicle did not make any noise before the initial visit to Frontier Subaru, and I believe the wheels were loosened at the initial inspection of the strut. They have repeatedly denied that the wheels were loosened in their Service Department. The fact that the noise started within minutes of leaving their dealership, and the fact that my wife and I were driving an unsafe vehicle did not matter to this dealership at all. They refused at every level to take any responsibility. This service attitude contrasts widely with other dealerships in Winnipeg who will go out of their way to make sure a customer is happy. Although we like the vehicle, we will not buy our next vehicle from the Jim Pattison Group. More

We researched all other potential vehicles in this class and the Outback was a clear winner. We chose Frontier for the convenience to shopping and other amenities. The sales staff was friendly and professional. Thank you Rocky, Joel, and Mona for making our purchase easy and stress free. More

Suffered from ongoing check engine lights, was repeatedly told that I was driving too hard or not shifting out of first. I have driven a manual transmission car for 16 years. Multiple visits to the service department later, it was time for an oil change. For whatever reason I decided to get the oil changed here. When they lifted the car up they reported a large oil leak. Evidently the seal around the turbo was damaged from the factory. After all this time and multiple visits for check engine lights where I was disrespected and spoken down to lo and behold there was an actual issue with the car. I hate to think what might have happened had I continued to drive the car with the leak. Of course each check engine light was my fault, and when I came into the service department no one took the time to consider there might be an actual problem with the car. I paid for a roof rack to be installed while the oil leak was being repaired. Even that was shoddy as the bars were installed crooked. I took them off and re did the work myself. I asked for the labour put into the rack install to be credited to me for a future oil change and they flat out refused. Will not ever do business with this outfit again and will make sure to dissuade others who are considering Frontier. More

A I am on my third Subaru bought from the team @ Frontier Subaru. These guys are great to work with - I've has one Crosstrek and two Outbacks now. Absolutely no BS - Just quick, prompt courteous help as needed. They have consistently provided me with quick, actual, real world numbers for leases, buyouts, trade-in values etc. There is absolutely none of the usual car sales ' Dog & Pony Show' tactics. Shane, Jason & Antonio are great to do business with. I look forward to working with these guys again on my next purchase. More
New satisfied owner of a 2015 Impreza Walking into the dealership, I was somewhat intimidated by how small and seemingly crowded the building was. I'm used to walking into bigger dealershi Walking into the dealership, I was somewhat intimidated by how small and seemingly crowded the building was. I'm used to walking into bigger dealerships that take a good minute to walk from one end to the other, with vehicles scattered around the floor and a lot of walking room. Frontier Subaru's building is way too small for how busy these guys get. With that in mind, I wasn't really expecting much from these guys. I walked into Frontier Subaru because I thought "hey, I'm not going to buy a new car without testing all my options and Subaru happened to be on the list (and not very high up on the list either)." Putting aside how wrong I was for not taking Subaru as a brand more seriously (the Impreza is ridiculously good), I'm glad to know that I was also very wrong with how I initially judged the dealership. Yes, the building is still way too small, and the environment way too cramped, but the people in that building are what make it really stand out from the other dealerships that I've been in. My salesperson was Antonio, my financial advisor was Mona, and the sales manager was Jason. These guys were all super patient with me as I changed my mind on method of payment and financing like a hundred times a day. I was in and out of the building all day for a few days getting all the details and getting updated numbers. I asked Antonio if I could test the car for a few hours by myself and he allowed me to, which is really cool. Jason gave me numbers as I needed them with no delay and was always super patient. Mona also made the actual purchase and final steps very pleasant. On the third day I drove out with a brand new Impreza and I couldn't possibly be happier with the car and with the dealership in general. Even the service department answered my questions promptly and didn't seem to be annoyed by my questions. I know it hasn't been long at all yet but the first impressions from these guys way exceeds the overall impressions that I've had with other dealerships such as Gerry Gordon, Pembina Chrysler, and Crown Toyota (Crown Toyota was the worst dealership ever, by the way. They refuse to do paperwork or look at numbers at all until you're committed to buy which is super dumb. They're getting a bit too cocky with their success to be honest). I really look forward to using Frontier Subaru as my dealership of choice, both for servicing this car, and for potential future purchases (so far I don't think I'll ever get something other than Subaru). Had to replace tires after 23000 km not impressed. Replaced with studded tires as traction control is not reliable. Somehow our front tire rim has been damaged and apparently has caused 2 wheel bearings to be compacted which are not covered under warranty because of bent rim. Even tho tires were installed and balanced at a reliable tire shop.the car does not shake or shimmy there is just a humming sound.a second set of tires were put on in april storing our studded tires for next year.service department has hired a young inexperienced fellow who acts as a trouble shooter for the subaru warranty department.out comes the camera and takes pics of apparent damage that was very minimal most likely caused by ice and snow.you can argue all day with this fellow.he accused us of damaging our car and being angry at him because we now have to pay for it. .I will never do business with this dealership again. I do not need a lecture from a 25 year old know it all who basically called us liars and is certainly not an asset to that business. We love our car but we will.not return to this place of business nor recommend it to our friends or associates. There are many ways to approach a problem but this fellow needs to learn some manners. We will be returning to the shop that installed our new tires and perhaps a few others for a professional opinion in this matter. More
