I would have loved to support local as I am from Barrie and purchase a new vehicle from here but they do not support the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Company employee discount anymore. My dad worked at the Toyota factory making vehicles for over 30 years as a supervisor and we have had good experiences purchasing two vehicles at Jackson's Toyota before with this discount. We were TOLD in person 4 weeks ago that this letter was going to be accepted. When Andrew Black called me he told me the letter was accepted until I told him Anthony Casey said it wasn't. Clearly there was miscommunication among the sales team which impacts the experience of the customer negatively. How can this change in 4 weeks from accepting our discount to not accepting it? So now I've had to travel 2 HOURS from home to purchase a vehicle. I get that inventory is low, but everything is done by "orders" at a dealership anyways. I am one customer that is asking for this on one specific vehicle, what difference does ONE order make. I also feel distressed because I feel gossiped about, a manager at Jackson’s Toyota called another dealership where I have an order asking if I indeed had an order with them, when I already told Jackson’s Toyota that I did. Why would I lie? I cried because I feel violated from this. We're all pretty disappointed that it is not being accepted and no longer plan on purchasing a vehicle here ever again or bring our vehicles here for service. More
Our neighbours bought a brand new 2023 Toyota Rav4 from you (they had ordered a 2022 but the delay was so great you substituted the newer model) and picked it up in early February. Unfortunately, the trailer hitch they had chosen as an option when they placed their initial order was not in stock at the time of their pickup (why was it not installed right at the factory?) and has still not arrived so they can have it installed. They are planning a trip to Newfoundland this June and had hoped to be able to drive their Rav4 as the gas mileage is so much better than their old 2010 Forerunner (with close to 500,00km on it), but they need that trailer hitch installed on their Rav4 so they can pull their small tent trailer. What is the holdup? If you do not have access to a Rav4 trailer hitch, why have you not tracked one down, or offered to pay to have a custom trailer hitch installed on their car? Sometimes it takes a good kick in the pants to get the results you want and I hope this has been the case in this situation! If it were me I would never have put up with this delay and I find it very frustrating to hear these two "Jackson Toyota repeat customers" being treated this way! If this situation applies to more of your customers than our friends I hope someone in your dealership takes note of this complaint and makes a move to complete the conditions of sale agreed upon when the vehicle was ordered. More
