I was recommended a differential service on my 2017 Silverado by Maneesh in the service department at Jack Carter. I thought this was odd since my truck only had 67K kms on it. Maniesh was a bit rude and quite blunt with me, telling me that if I did not get this service done on my truck, I would regret it as it would cause expensive issues down the road. I was still hesitant, and a bit annoyed - however, I decided to take the recommendation of this "expert". Approximately 500km later, when I was driving to Medicine Hat, my rear end locked up and I narrowly avoided a collision. After having my truck towed to the nearest service point - it was discovered that the rear differential had been starved of fluid, and was apparently not filled properly, or even 'barely filled at all'. The ring gears had seized completely due to there not being adequate fluid in my differential, and that completely blew up my rear end. Not including the downtime, I ended up paying over $4500 for the repair - having to completely replace and rebuild my rear end! All of this just because Jack Carter didn't fill my diff properly after the differential service. I later found out that there was absolutely no reason for a differential service to even be done on what what a relatively low mileage truck, as GM doesn't even suggest this until 150km +! I will never go to Jack Carter again, after this fiasco - they are shady, entitled and incompetent! Anyone thinking of using Jack Carter - my advice, find a better Chevy dealer with honest service staff and competent technicians! More

I’m sure Jack is rolling over in his grave with this team left behind with his name! These guys have zero respect for customers.. Reps, and apparently management for their rep “lack of” training practices. my advice, go elsewhere for service and also sales, as why would you buy from a dealer with a terrible service dept. pick any other dealership as they are all better than jack carter chev! The sales team even asked if they could appraise my truck and get me into a new one… Fat chance I would ever buy here, even if they were cheaper!!! Not worth it!!!! I’d father drive 300km again to purchase from a reputable dealership. And don’t suggest i reach out to your service manager!! He is leading the terrible team im sure with his lack of intelligent customer support decisions as well. He can reach out to me!! He has my email, and complaint. Or Not! More
