Mr Villeneuve I can only respond to your last visit as that is the only one I am familiar with. As a part of the Service for which you were booked in a front and rear brake servicing is performed. We serviced the front brakes and noticed that the rear brake pads were starting to separate which is typically a result of overheating the brakes. At that point servicing the rear brakes would have been pointless, and after discussing this with you we replaced the rear brakes at a reduced rate. I don't know for sure what caused it as we had not had a chance to look at the brakes since July 15/2013 at 21580 km and they are now over 46000 km. As I also explained the fact that, as you stated the vehicle sat for a while could have contributed to the brakes sticking on, even lightly, and therefore overheating. As far as the chip and/or rust on the hood and trunk; I have no idea what caused it but it was caused by something. Nobody is trying to blame you or rip you off. If I was able to get it covered under warranty I certainly would, but I don't see this being a defect and/or a warranty concern. Norm Sharkey Service Manager

The normal charge to replace rear brake pads and rotors is 2 hours at $110.00 an hour - you were charged 1 hour labour or $110.00

the labour costs being reduced were was never mentioned to me while we talked face to face. Seems like something created after the fact. I did some research on the parts installed and found 2 quotes almost 50% cheaper than the paid prices. (part source/ benson) Lastly the service #3 that I agreed to and paid for is less than required. The oil and filter service I have covered under my service plan. $0.00. The tire rotation is unnecessary when swapping winter tires. $0.00. Rear break service wasn't covered because of additional damage. Air filter inspection? and road test if required? Seems again like a complete rip off, and waste of $249.95.

the winter tires were installed no charge as part of the service. the normal charge would have been 29.95, the cost of the oil change is deducted from the service as well - you were charged $219.95. As far as the parts go you can always find cheaper parts than original equipment but we don't recommend them.

Ok. so you have confirmed that it was a complete rip of for $219.95. this will be the last time you do any major work on any of my vehicles. you can do all the free oil changes, but clearly i'll leave the real work for qualified "honest" shops. Your willingness to argue instead of correct this issue has proven to me your dealerships inability to resolve issues.

I have no desire to argue, but have stated only facts. I'm not sure what issue it is that I have yet to correct. The fact that we replaced your brakes after consulting with you and giving you a price; replacing them at the agreed upon price, or performing the service 3 that you authorized. I don't see how that qualifies us as dishonest. If I'm missing something please let me know.

you're doing an excellent job! I will make sure to tell everyone and anyone about the fantastic experience I've encountered with your dealership. You may be new to this location, and my guess is your time will be limited. As service manager you should try to ensure every client is happy with the service provided. I am extremely dissatisfied. Service #3 which was strongly suggested was a complete rip off. Your "explanations" as to how / why my brakes encountered issues, or how rust has developed on my car is laughable. The rust module I consider a "fool my once" - this service appointment has proven to be twice.
