I have used this dealership in previous interactions for tire swaps (in Spring and Fall) since Autumn 2011. As in previous visits, the service has been courteous and friendly. I am writing now after 6 tire services to report that they have consistently been on time and completed in a reasonable period of time. When making the appointment by telephone, the service department operator would tell me to come at a suggested time as they can see how many service requests have been booked already for that date and time period. Awesome. With my previous vehicles (non-Hondas), I would be so frustrated sitting in the other dealership's waiting room for a simple "quick" service and nothing would happen. Twenty - forty - eighty minutes would go past my appointment time without any service person coming to my vehicle. This is not the case with Hunt Club Honda and I appreciate their respect for my time. More
I made an 84-kilometer round trip to take advantage of Hunt Club Honda's assurance that I could get an oil change for my 2012 Civic without an appointment. It wasn't true. Too busy, they told me. Two week Hunt Club Honda's assurance that I could get an oil change for my 2012 Civic without an appointment. It wasn't true. Too busy, they told me. Two weeks later, I received another promo email from this company inviting me to drive in for an oil change without an appointment! After the first frustration, I wrote to the company mentioning that I was given a bit of a runaround when I went to pick up my new car in Nov 2012. On this trip I wanted some minor repairs taken care of, so the oil change wasn\t the only thing I didn't get done that day. I didn't even get a response from Hunt Club Honda. My wife is about to buy a Fit. Not surprisjngly, it will not be from Hunt Club Honda. Geoff Johnson Manotick. More

Hunt Club Honda told me that it was mandatory to do a recall on my car's ignition. I had never once had an issue with the ignition. I told them that I didn't want to do the recall and they said that I h recall on my car's ignition. I had never once had an issue with the ignition. I told them that I didn't want to do the recall and they said that I had to. Immediately following the recall the key began to stick. I did not go back in right away as I felt that they already made things worse and that I could deal with the ignition now being a little sticky, as the weeks progressed it got stickier and stickier. I brought it back in this week and they looked at it and after driving out of the service area I parked my car and was no longer able to start it. They will take no responsibility for there poor workmanship. They also lied to me and told me that it was mandatory to bring it in when in fact I don't have to. They are untrustworthy and are not customer focused. More
The reason why I am so critical is because the bad customer service came from a managment person ( assistant manager ) and not just a regular customer service rep and that to me says a lot about the c customer service came from a managment person ( assistant manager ) and not just a regular customer service rep and that to me says a lot about the culture and bad management in the service department. Brought brand new car we just bought ( 12 days prior ) over due to concersn about the front windshield icing heavily on the INSIDE ( never seen thsi before in any car ) when first get into car on cold days. You should not have to literally scrape heavy ice off your inside windshiled despite what Hunt Club Honda says. The assistant service manger came out to see the car with ice on the inside of the w/s and became very flippant, patronizing, sarcastic and unprofessional ( argumentative ). He told us that ..."this is Canada we live in and its perfectly normal to see ice on the inside of a windshield, it happens ALL THE TIME"...Its was the tone also that was bad and he was obviously trying to make us look stupid and why are you here bothering me with this kind of attitude? I told him that I have never had any ice on my inside windshiled that required me to get my sraper out to remove and he said..."I find that hardvery hard to believe" in a flippant , irritated way. There are better places to get your car serviced who will treat you better, with more respect and not take you and your money for granted. Also, I notice a HUGE amount of service staff turn over and its not like they are getting better, higher paying jobs in another profession - they are leaving for other Honda service departments around Ottawa and thats not a good sign and an indication that something is wrong.
