I brought my 09 Flex into the shop to see why my driver side mirror was broken. Even before Trevor looked at it he told me it had probably been hit and that it would cost me $109.00 for diagnosis. When I picked it up Trevor told me and the extended warranty company that the reason it was broken was that inside it was worn out due to corrosion. I called Ford Canada and they called Highbury Ford and spoke to Robert who told them that it was damaged due to it being hit. Robert was very rude, dismissive and condesending. I asked if there was a record of it being hit in his computer he said "no". When I asked how he got that information he noted that he called Trevor at home. So I am guessing that Trevor has all files on cars at his home or in his head. He wanted to swipe everything under the rug and did could not see why I was very upset. As well, when I showed up he stuck his hand out at me and said "keys" really rudely. Robert then proceeded to treat me like an imbicile along with telling me that there is no way that corrosion caused the side mirror to break for it is plastic. Once I started to question the different stories he became very defensive. All the times I have taken my car in not once have I had a hi, how are you today? How can I help you? come out of any service technician's mouth. The owner did offer me a 15% discount on the repair of the mirror. This place wasted my time and I am so unhappy with the way I was treated that I have opted to not use my 3 remaining free oil changes and not take the 15% discount! I would rather pay another establishment that treats their customers with some decency! More
Rob is rude and dismissive. Doesn't offer any suggestions that would be considered helpful. I came in to check the Ford Escape after visiting GM - Michael was so friendly and nice he showed me exactly the right car i wanted that fit my family in the back. I asked the body shop to look at premature rust. I was told on the phone that it might be covered and to bring it in, which I did. I would have appreciated more detail about the rust, the type, what was covered/not and why. I was just basically dismissed. When I called to ask to talk with a manager, Rick tried to convince me he was the manager...of the whole place! It wasn't about the money to fix it, nor about the warranty. Its about being treated poorly and dismissed without any concern for customer service. They basically don't care, particularly if you have bought a car and are coming back for service that's not going to make them any money. I won't be back. More
