Our apologies that your experience with High River Toyota wasn’t 100%. I dealt with everything personally and felt that we did everything in our power to help you. Your first color choice was grey and for that reason we felt everything was going great after finding your truck. On good faith, we brought in a truck from a different province and covered all transport fees to help. After installing a full leather kit, box liner and covering all expenses to locate the truck - you decided not to buy it. Ultimately we did not pressure you into buying the truck, which if this was another dealership they would have pressured you into buying their truck. The reasoning for the increase in the payment is due to the fact that you added on extra options. We would also like to point out that throughout the entire buying process we were in constant contact with you and you had given no indication that you didn’t want to proceed – you gave us the green light. I am sorry you feel this way, but we did everything we could to help you out. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact myself Charles Biss

Mike, I appreciate where you are coming from. You want the best price for yourself. We do sell Toyotas at very competitive prices that is one of the things we are known for. We do generally only quote list price over the phone. The lowest pricing is for people who come into our dealership. We take a lot of calls from people from Toronto to Vancouver from the USA, Poland, U.K. and India all calling for the best price these take a lot of time and don't go anywhere after giving our customers the best price. Based on our experience we have found that by making an appointment with us and coming to our store gives people the best experience and price. Also as the vehicle you wanted isn't stated there may be a shortage on that vehicle or high demand which would mean that the price will be close to list. There are several products in the Toyota line up that are in short supply which would mean that we are not going to discount those vehicles. Your advice to others to call and get a price before coming down goes against all independent advice, which will states that by going to a dealership is the best way to get the best price. I appreaciate that you are frustrated and car buying is generally not a quick process. The Sienna that you are inquiring about had a deposit put on it after business hours Thursday and we were closed Friday. The customer who put the deposit on the vehicle also wanted to get an independent inspection done in Calgary which took the customer a few days to arrange in the mean time the same customer told us they were also looking at a 2011 Sienna at another dealership with higher kilometers but at a lower price. They still kept their deposit on our Sienna until they viewed the 2011 Sienna from a different dealership. We do however understand from your point of view and how you see it without prior knowledge about this situation. In this case the reasons are very genuine and we do respect the customer who goes ahead with the deal and puts a deposit on a vehicle.
