My experience at Harris Kia was excellent. I went in to look at the Hybrids and was met with people that were more than helpful at educating me on Hybrid technology. They offered to let me take one home overnight to get a real sense of whether this was the auto for me, so I did. I loved it, but returned it in the morning with the intention of shopping around other dealers and autos because that is what I figured a good consumer should do. Ultimately, I never left Harris Kia because they made an offer that I felt was fair and reasonable - plus they knew I really really liked this car. I bought an Optima Premium Hybrid and I have been smiling ever since. Ryan and Chris, your exuberance and knowledge initially got me excited about this car enough to make me less interested in looking at the competition. Your enjoyment in the selling of your products and making me happy, sold me. Thank You. More
I had initially contacted the Kia dealer in Victoria, as I live in Victoria. The Sales Manager there gave me a cut and dry offer that made me feel really discouraged because I couldn't accept what was offer I live in Victoria. The payments ended up being much higher than I could afford at the time. I decided to "shop around" and called Kia in Nanaimo. Instantly, Jeremy initiated a discussion about my circumstances and after I had explained it...he said he would "make it work for me". And....he did! With the help of RJ and Ahmed and a few days of ensuring the deal was exactly what would work for me and them, Harris Kia brought my 2012 Soul to me in Victoria! I can not rave enough about my preferred dealer and everything they have done for me...Thanks so much, again and again! More

He too was so helpful and patient and didnt give up, he got it done. Then our time spent with Jeremy, also you can tell right away that he loves his job also, was so friendly and knowledgeable and had us in and out in no time. I just can't say enough about the positive experience that I had purchasing a new Optima SX from Harris Kia in Nanaimo. I decided to reach out through the internet to Harris Kia, to inquire about one th that I had purchasing a new Optima SX from Harris Kia in Nanaimo. I decided to reach out through the internet to Harris Kia, to inquire about one that they had at their dealership. I was quickly contacted through email and phone by Randy Heller (Sales Manager). Randy was polite, professional, and within about 15 minutes on the phone, we had come to an agreement. This was amazing, as I had just gone through a terrible experience with another dealer who had given me the run around on a similar car! As I live in the lower mainland, we decided to do all the paperwork over the phone in order to save time when I came over to the island, and thus he put me in contact with Jeremy Allen (Financial Services Manager) who once again was polite, professional, and handled this part of the business in a quick and efficient manner. I made the choice to fly to Nanaimo 2 days later, and when I called Randy to let him know, he indicated that he would arrange for Rachel Roy to pick me and bring me to the dealership to run me through the car. As promised Rachel was there waiting for me and the the trend of dealing with a polite and professional person continued. During the drive we had time to discuss how long she had worked at the dealership and how much she enjoyed it, which may be the reason that everyone is so good. When we arrived at the dealership I was greeted by Dave Bare (General Manager who had personally just been shining up my car for the delivery), Roy Berentsen, and Mike House (Service Manager). Randy was off, but being the professional he is, came in to say hi, and stayed around for a bit to make sure that everything was going smooth for me, as I had to come in from out of town. Rachel was fantastic and took me through the car, all the features, the welcome package, and overall was the best sales person I have ever dealt with in all my car buying years! Highly recommend dealing with Rachel if you have the chance. Jeremy and I met to sign all the appropriate paperwork and go through the details of the financial agreement. Great person who has a great personality, is very good at his job. never pushy, and makes you feel very comfortable. Again, I really have to recommend dealing with Harris Kia, as the experience was incredibly positive! The Kia dealers in the lower mainland should be careful, as I am positive that Harris Kia's reputation will get out to other consumers looking for great customer service, and not getting it at other dealers. Kia should be thrilled to have Harris Kia as one of their dealers, and Tom Harris should be proud of the staff he employs, and the superior customer service that they provide. Had been looking for a barely used Rondo for several weeks in the Comox area, without any luck. Either they were over-priced or sold before we could make an offer. Headed down to Nanaimo to see a couple of 2011s that were in stock. Rachel was a great help, both over the phone leading up to our trip. She wasn't pushy at all and made sure to call before we got there for our appointment to warn us that we'd be seeing only one as the other one had sold. She let me take if for a long test-drive so I could make an informed decision. I wasn't disappointed. Buying the car was almost painless, from the negotiating to the paying and even the ICBC paperwork. A nice place to shop for a car. We'll be back (in about 10 years or so!). Thanks Rachel! More
My wife and I saw a Kia Sportage on display at a local mall and really loved the up to date design and features. Upon entering the lot of Harris Kia we were greeted by a well dressed and well spoken sales mall and really loved the up to date design and features. Upon entering the lot of Harris Kia we were greeted by a well dressed and well spoken sales associate who introduced herself as Rachel Roy. We hit it off immediately because of her obvious love of life and great sense of humor. we explained what we had seen and our wishes to see other models. Rachel's knowledge of the products that were available was very impressive and she arranged for the model that we wanted to look into further to be removed from the mall display and arrangements were made for a test drive the following day. The test drive was the most comprehensive and informative we have ever experienced. Every unique feature of this vehicle was demonstrated and explained to the fullest. Upon returning to the dealership we were introduced in the parts dept.to the parts adviser, Noel Lesebvre to discuss the availability of some options we had inquired about. Noel in his professional way looked everything up and had the answer for our needs right there on the spot. We had a trade in so decided to pursue the purchase process further. This is usually one of the most taxing experiences of the car purchase. At this point we fast discovered that this dealership is a working team as we went through the negotiations of car, various options and trade in values. The sales manager,Randy Heller and our sales person Rachel Roy were totally cool through the whole process. I might add that we as the buying customer were not just putting our money on the table with out a lot of questions but at the same time we never felt threatened or pressured. If we would have, we would have walked out and said thank you. After an hour or so we all came to an agreement and as it was too late to complete the paperwork we agreed to meet the following day. We met with Jeremy Allen to review warranty options and make final payment. Jeremy is a very impressive young man. Our experience was so positive. When we went over all the options my wife and I made the decision not to purchase any extended warranties. When I turned Jeremy's work sheet over and said, "we are not going to purchase any extended warranty", Jeremy turned to his computer and started the next process. This was impressive because it told us that we are capable of making intelligent decisions for our self.We engaged in a few more questions while he worked and ended up purchasing a three year extended warranty. We were then escorted to the maintenance department and meet with Kolbi Bryant and made the appropriate arrangement for our first service and was also introduced to the awards program of which we also purchased the Platinum plan. As a matter of note. I made a comment to our sales associate about how professional Kolbi was and Rachel said she had not been with the dealership that long. I say, good catch on the part of the dealership. They obviously attract good people. The car was fully detailed, filled with gasoline and readied for us to drive out of the show room. My wife and I drove home, sat down on the couch and both exclaimed, "that was the best car buying experience we have ever had". More
My husband and I had a bad experience with the service department a while ago and swore we would not go back to Tom Harris Kia even though we loved the car we were driving. Randy Heller, the Sales Manager, called us to let us know the balloon payment was soon up and to come in and talk over our options. We explained our concerns and he encouraged us to come in because the service problems had been fixed. We were treated like royalty when we arrived and were shown the utmost courtesy by all the staff we met. We ended up driving out in a new 2012 Kia Rio sedan, which we are very pleased with. Both my husband and I would like to thank the Service Manager, Mike House, for taking the time to meet us and assure us that our future servicing would be uneventful. Randy Heller for encouraging us to come back to Kia and give them another try, and making sure we were well treated when we came in. Ryan Czinger, Sales Associate, for his devotion and patience in showing us the latest cars. Jeremy Allen, Finance Manager, for the way he handled the refinancing of the new car, and we would also like to thank Dave Bare, General Manager, and Tom Harris, Dealership Owner, for making time to come in and greet us, making our over all experience wonderful. I purchased a New Kia 28 Nov 2011. The Harris I purchased a New Kia 28 Nov 2011. The Harris Dealership initially portrayed a credible, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful atmosphere. The vehicl I purchased a New Kia 28 Nov 2011. The Harris Dealership initially portrayed a credible, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful atmosphere. The vehicle I purchased had to come from another dealership on the mainland so naturally it took a while to have it delivered. Upon accepting the vehicle the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) checklist was not provided. Reason being the previous dealer had completed the inspection but did not include paperwork with delivery. Harris KIA informed me they had contacted the other dealer and a copy of the inspection sheet would be forthcoming. To date 15 Jan 2012, I have not received the PDI checklist from the Harris dealer. I understand the PDI is in fact part of the $399.00 Documentation / Administration service and the Kia delivery sheet should reflect the date completed; it does not. Given the credible persona of the dealership and in good faith, I foolishly signed the New Delivery Checklist as acknowledgement that I have read, received all and understood the contents of the delivery check list package etc. This may be a moot point to some but it is important to me. A reputable dealer would not let this or any other outstanding responsibility go unattended and therefore I cannot provide this dealership full marks in the Dealer Rater forum. More
