I was searching for something convenient, affordable and in good conditions but I was not sure about the best model that will suit my needs. Marcelo was really patient with me and he wrote down every single characteristic that I was willing to find in a car. He solved all my questions and he gave me several options until he found a car that was more than perfect for me. Throughout this process, I never felt pressured to buy any car I was not convinced for. This is one of the reasons for which I am really thankful with Marcelo and with everyone at Harris Kia. It's amazing to find a reliable dealership with trustworthy staff that make you feel comfortable and that help you find the best option for you. I was a committed Nissan customer, but after visiting Kia as a result of a TV ad, I have found a new place to purchase a car. All three staff: David Corrigal, Jeremy Allen and Clark Petrick made this by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. Clark provided me with all of the info relating to the car in a informed and professional way, and called me the next day to ask how everything was and if I needed assistance with programing Uvo. Jeremy and David were friendly, informative and genuinely working hard to satisfy my needs in purchasing a new car. They all stayed with me during the entire process and are to be commended for their efforts. We went in to look at the Kia Sorrento, but after talking with Rachel and she ascertained our needs in a vehicle she recommended we look at the Rhondo. After a test drive we loved it. Friday night August 31/2013 coming from the mainland my car broke down in Nanaimo and I needed a new or used vehicle as I need to get to Courtenay for a wedding on Saturday. The other dealership across the car broke down in Nanaimo and I needed a new or used vehicle as I need to get to Courtenay for a wedding on Saturday. The other dealership across the street was no help at all with what I was wanting to spend, so across the street I went to the Kia lot... (Clark and Jeremy) were wonderful. Clark showed me some vehicles that were in my price range and then I took the rio for a test drive and decided that this was the car that I would like to have. Clark explained everything that the car was equipped with and how to use it, Once the paper work was done ,Jeremy handled the financial part and got me on my way as fast as they could. I didn't make it to the wedding but I did make it for the reception and so this is why I give the highest rating that I can for these gents from the Nanaimo Kia Dealership...... You guy's Rock!!!!!!! This review is a bit different -- it's a pre-purchase review. I haven't bought a car yet, but things look promising. Harris Kia was recommended to me by a friend who was very happy with his used car pur review. I haven't bought a car yet, but things look promising. Harris Kia was recommended to me by a friend who was very happy with his used car purchase from the dealership in 2012. He had dealt with Rachel and spoke highly of her work to find and bring in the car he was looking for--I think his purchase came from the Lower Mainland. I was upfront about my priorities--the vehicle I needed had to be able to easily carry an odd selection of work gear, decent on gas, but had to be below a certain price point. Rachel instantly steered me towards a few vehicles that met the exact criteria without trying to influence me into something that I didn't want or need. As well, I was free to take all of the test drives at my own pace and on routes of my choosing. These two features of the car searching experience were not shared at many other dealerships that I went to (approximately 8 others in the Nanaimo area). I also had a number of finance questions, for which I emailed to Jeremy and he responded quickly and with easy-to-understand answers. Rachel has been patient with me--it's been 6 months since I started searching--for which I am also appreciative. She sent me the occasional update on when a user car came onto the lot which fit my criteria, as well as info on Kia promotions. My rating, so far, is very high and 'recommended' based upon the pre-purchase experience so far. I look forward to writing another review about the purchase process (that is getting underway today!) My husband and I were looking to purchase a car to tow behind our RV, either new or gently used. We had 4 criteria that had to be met before we even test drove a vehicle. 1- driver comfort and space both front and back 2- flat tow-able with manual transmission 3- 4 doors 4- Fuel economy When we entered the dealership at Harris Kia, Christine Wright met us with enthusiasm and a vibrant personality. Once we gave her our criteria she immediately told us that the Kia Soul 2U would fill all our needs. Christine showed us the entry level Soul. The 2 other level Souls did not meet the criteria, even though we would have bought either of them. During our test drive my husband and I were impressed enough with the vehicle that we knew we were going to buy it. We explained to Christine that we wanted to test drive other cars and we needed to talk about the Kia Soul. We went to two other dealerships and realized we wanted the 2013 Soul 2U. From the time we walked onto the lot the first time, left and then came back, and we started the paperwork was 2 hours. Each of the employees we interacted with, we found them knowledgeable, friendly and the kind of employee a company would want. The pleasure of dealing with Christine and all the staff, I have recommended Harris Kia to everyone and anyone who wanted to hear. The day we brought the Soul home we ordered a tow package, have had it installed, and we are no longer "stranded" after we set up camp. It is a pleasure to park and go. My sister was so impressed with our Soul 2U that we bought in June, that she bought a Soul 2U mid-level today, 27 August, after only one test drive of any car. She had her heart was set on another brand, test drove a Soul 4U to pacify me, and bought herself the mid-level style. Again all it took was two hours of time. Now we need to keep our keys marked, my husband and I have the Titanium Grey and my sister bought the Ruby red. We are now the "Soul Sisters", (really).
