I went to Guelph VW to see about a 2025 demonstrator with 15k on it. The price was quoted at $58,000. We sat down to talk about a final price and, once the value of our trade and the “$7500 discount “ were d 15k on it. The price was quoted at $58,000. We sat down to talk about a final price and, once the value of our trade and the “$7500 discount “ were deducted, the final cost with the add-ons was over the posted price. “Well, we have to start at the price of a brand new car and deduct the discount and your vehicle and THEN add on the cost of the so called optional equipment” like the paint colour and another piece of equipment that could not be removed. Am I wrong to think the sticker price should include these additional things (since they could not be removed)? There was no discount for the fact the it was a 2025 and had 15kms. Moustafa wanted to sell the car to us by asking several times what we would like to pay. He would talk to the manager each and return with a higher price than what we said. I guess we look pretty stupid coming through the door? We will not be going back. More

This VW dealership is going from poor to very bad in terms of customer experience. The communication between staff members, service crew and customer is always poor and confusing to customer. I always get the feeling that they only care for making money and seem arrogant and careless when challenged. The time they service the vehicle is always the longest I've ever experienced from a dealership. I've had left the service in the past with the vehicle issue unresolved and had to go back (a week later) and payed for an evaluation again. Just bad experience overall and I have owned VW vehicles for the past 8 years. More

I’ve worked with no less than 50 car dealerships over my years buying or leasing more than a dozen new vehicles from multiple brands. I’ve never had a worse experience than with Moustafa and his managers at years buying or leasing more than a dozen new vehicles from multiple brands. I’ve never had a worse experience than with Moustafa and his managers at Guelph VW. Time wasting, dishonest, typical “behind the glass” (literally) car sales tactics. I specifically went back to Guelph VW this morning at Moustafa’s urging (he reached out to me) because he had “a potential buyer interested” in my expiring lease and wanted to conduct an appraisal. I have been very transparent that I am interested in a specific VW but that I am not yet fully decided and that the potential value in my expiring lease would make a difference whether or not I deal with Guelph VW. After spending close to an hour with Moustafa while I believed his appraiser was actively evaluating my vehicle, I learned that Guelph VW would not be providing me with an appraisal because I was “not purchasing a vehicle today”. A-how would I be able to make that decision without an appraisal provided? B-I was very clear about my intentions before coming in AND before handing over my keys. C-Even after a previous visit and test drive and more than a dozen emails back and forth with Moustafa I still have not been provided with any discount pricing that I have repeatedly asked for. Finally I walked out, angrily. I will not return, and if you are looking for transparency, honestly and integrity I suggest you don’t either. More

Would like to make it very clear that Gabriel is a great salesperson. He assisted us in narrowing down our vehicle selection for THREE family members (2 new VW SUV's and 1 used). We were ready to purchase w salesperson. He assisted us in narrowing down our vehicle selection for THREE family members (2 new VW SUV's and 1 used). We were ready to purchase within a few hours of shopping with them as he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and really understood what we were all individually looking for in our vehicles. As we were buying three vehicles we thought it would be fair to ask for a deal. Unfortunately, the Sales Manager, who Gabriel had to report to for each and every request, was not willing to budge and didn't come out to chat with us - making the process extremely long, tiresome, disrespectful, and a complete waste of time. It felt like we were on an episode of "Deal or no Deal" but the banker isn't willing to make you ANY deal! They will throw in a optional maintenance package - valued at $585 or thereabouts - which will get you a few "free" oil and filter changes - done by VW only, and imagine what their cost is on that service! I'm sorry Howie, "NO DEAL!" Needless to say, we will not be purchasing our vehicles from this dealership. Upon finding this site and their other negative reviews, we now understand why our experience was what it was. It's unfortunate to be fellow business owners in Guelph and to have to take our business outside of the City to find our cars. We were planning to purchase more vehicles for our family and employees, however they will not get any future business from us. We don't write reviews often, if ever, but my husband called to speak with Gabriel to let him know how much we appreciated his time and attention. We unfortunately will not be supporting him on this transaction, to no fault of his own, but wish him well and hope that the Management team can make some changes that can lead to more positive customer service interactions and sales.
