Not only did we get our steering issue repaired promptly (same day) and at a very reasonable price but they took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and what was done to repair it. In this day and age when going the extra mile for the customer seems to be a cliche, Guelph Hyundai have made it their mandate. An excellent dealership and we highly recommend Guelph Hyundai to anyone who appreciates honestly, sincerity and good old fashioned service. More
UPDATE 01/03/11: My car has been repaired and I will be picking it up tomorrow. In November of 2011 I went to buy a new car in Guelph. As my parents have a Hyundai Tucson and were pleased with it, I decided to also buy a Hyundai as my first car purchase. I chose a brand new 2012 Hyundai Accent, set up my insurance and payments, and I was happy for about a month. Then in December the check engine light came on. I checked to make sure the gas cap was on properly and it went off soon after. Only then it came back on about a week or so later. This time I took the car in (missing work) and waited two hours for them to replace the thermostat and update the computer system. I took the car back, went home, and two days later the light came back on. This time my mother took it in for me as I couldn't miss another day of work, and she was told that according to Hyundai Canada, it was a false reading because of the Canadian climate and that the only thing I could do was not turn my heat on past option 2 until the car had warmed up a bit. As this was completely ridiculous for any car, let alone a brand-new one, I took it to my dad, and we have both been contacting the main company about this problem. The dealership took my car in to look at it nearly 3 weeks ago and Hyundai Canada has yet to give them or me a proper solution. My dad and I asked them to replace the car, as it was obviously a lemon, and we were told that Dan was in contact with Hyundai service techs and would get back to us mid-week. All I want is a working car that I can trust, and I'm sure all the dealership wants is a main company that won't tie their hands when they're attempting to find a solution for a consumer. I cannot recommend Hyundai to anyone as of right now. More
My husband and I have been buying and servicing our Hyundai vehicles at Guelph Hyundai for the past 15 years. The service department has been wonderful through the years. I have a 2010 Santa Fe. I have not been able to take it into this dealer yet without them phoning to say I should replace something. I think I've replace every filter possible plus have had work done on the brakes and I only have 30,000 kms. In fact they said the brakes needed work at 20,000 kms. This dealer will nickel and dime you to death. I have friends who have had the exact same experience. I will never buy from them again! More
